Local residents invited to free lunch, facility tours and giveaways on Oct. 5

TRURO, N.S. (Oct. 1, 2019) — U-Haul® will host a grand-opening event on Oct. 5 to unveil its newest indoor self-storage facility at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Truro at 24 Court St.

Those attending from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. will enjoy a free BBQ lunch, a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility, U-Haul giveaways and more. Lunch will be served on a first-come basis.

The modern four-story, 69,000-square-foot building includes 542 self-storage lockers with high-tech security features at affordable price points. More than one year of work went into refurbishing and enhancing the historic building where the Lewis Hat Company factory was in operation dating back to 1938. It was most recently utilized for a bowling alley before U-Haul acquired it in March 2018.
