- Open the U-Haul App and log in to your account.
- Find your active rental and select “Roadside Assistance.”
- Select a reason for the request – i.e., tire, mechanical, etc.
- Tap “Start Request” and choose the issue you’re experiencing from the list.
- The app will detect your location automatically, or you can manually enter it.
- Upload photos of the issue.
- Review your request details and submit.

You can also report an accident or request roadside assistance online at uhaul.com/help. Here is how you can do it:
- Log in to your U-Haul account or continue as a Guest using the mobile number or email associated with the rental contract, along with the contract holder’s last name
- If you are on a mobile device, you can use GPS to find your location or enter your location manually.
- Select the option that you need help with.
- Submit photos of the equipment as well as the issue.
- If you already have a roadside request, you can use the online portal for status updates, chat Live with a Roadside Team Member, or update your information.
What’s Covered by U-Haul Roadside Assistance
U-Haul Roadside Assistance is available 24/7 to help with any on-the-road service needs. However, if you haven’t purchased SafeTrip® Roadside Protection, you’ll be responsible for covering the cost of certain services yourself. SafeTrip covers the following:
