Steps to Reserve a U-Box Container 

Step 1: Access the U-Box Reservation Feature 

Start by opening the U-Haul App and navigating to the home screen. From there, locate the Products & Services section and swipe through the available services until you find the U-Box Containers option. Tap to begin. 

Step 2: Enter Your Moving Details 

Next, you’ll be prompted to enter key information about your move. This includes your starting moving location, destination, and preferred container delivery date. Once submitted, the app will generate a base rate based on your route and timing. 

Keep in mind, this price does not include additional services like delivery at your origin or destination, Moving Help®, or packing supplies. You can add these later in the process. 

Step 3: Select the Number of U-Box Containers 

After reviewing your estimated rate, you can choose how many U-Box containers you’ll need. The app allows you to reserve up to 10 containers per order. 

Each option includes helpful details about container size and typical capacity, so you can determine what best fits your move. If you’re unsure, you can start with an estimate and adjust your selection later. If you’re still unsure, use the U-Box containers calculator! 

Step 4: Choose a Delivery Method 

Next, you’ll select how you want your U-Box containers delivered and used during your move. This step is a key part of the reservation process as it determines how your containers are transported and accessed.  

Depending on your needs, you can choose options like having the container delivered to your home and unloaded by professional movers, storing it at a U-Haul facility, or shipping it directly to your destination. Each option offers different levels of convenience and flexibility based on your timeline and moving setup. Take a moment to review each delivery method carefully that best fits your move.  

Step 5: Explore Additional Moving Services 

As you continue through the process, the app provides options to add other U-Haul services, such as moving supplies, and Moving Help® services. These add-ons are conveniently available within the app, allowing you to plan your move in one place without having to navigate multiple tabs.

• Complete required documents, such as your U-Box rental agreement or location-specific forms  
• Provide detailed location information (apartment vs. house, driveway or parking placement, etc.)  
• Upload placement photos to show exactly where you want your containers delivered  
• Make payments, update your card on file, and track upcoming payment due dates  
• Schedule container delivery if your U-Box containers are stored at a U-Haul facility
