I was asked if I wanted safemove coverage, which I declined. I was instructed to sign on two separate lines, which I did. I was not instructed to check a box that stated I declined coverage, so I was charged for this coverage. I called today once I saw that this charge was included on my receipt, and I wanted it removed. The manager reviewed my contract and informed me that I had not checked the box to decline coverage. He reviewed security camera footage of my exchange at the counter, and made a personal remark about me kissing my girlfriend and not paying attention to the transaction. I do not see where a single kiss while the checkout clerk was working on his computer would amount to his claim being at all relevant, and I also do not know where in the world that is any of his business to say. I feel extremely dissatisfied and disrespected by the manager who followed up on my claim, and would recommend action against him. I will make it a point to spread my negative experience online and with my extended personal networks NOT to give this location any business at all. Furthermore, I will be requesting a copy of our recorded telephone exchange to submit to corporate for this manager's review. I will find it difficult to use u-haul for any further services, and will recommend against it in the future.

Folks at the store were courteous and answered my questions. When I went in the first time, this location did not have any wrapping paper. The associate took the time to call another location close by and gave me good directions to get there. Thanks!

I reserved a 26 foot truck and when I arrived at the canal street location. They didn't have a 26 foot truck, they told me I reserved a 20 foot truck and that was all they had. Due to the lack of availability of the 26 foot truck my husband and I had to make several more trip moving things in our suv's when the 26 foot truck would have made it one trip. I would like a refund for the the inconvenience.

When I returned the trailer, there was only one employee waiting on 3 customers who had to wait. The "boss" was visible, but did not help with the line of customers. Not good business practice.

When a reservation is made, the equipment should be there. I was told a message had been left for me,which I did not receive on time, that the trailer would be available the next day. How can you do this when customers have specific moving plans and dates.

This was the worst customer service experience of my life. The counter person was rude and snotty to my questions. When I asked why they needed the address I was moving to since this was a local rental I was told in "I need to move to address!" and he would not explain. Same with why he needed my home number when I already gave him my cell phone number. Then he told me to have it back by 6:00 PM. When I explained to him I reserved it online for 24 hours and needed it later than 6 he said I may have requested 24 hours but I can't have it because someone else needed it and if I didn't return it on time I would get charged for 2 days instead of 1. Then he asked me if I still wanted to take it at all. If I didn't have friends and family waiting at home for this truck I would have never allowed someone to treat me so badly and pay them. When I used the truck there were a couple of times that I could barely get it started after it sat for more than an hour. As it neared my 6:00 return time and got dark the interior lights did not work and people couldn't see what they were lifting inside the truck which was very dangerous.

Truck was filthy. All of stuff was covered in black crap. We reserved a 20' foot truck and were given a 14' truck.

I received truck with a 1/4 of tank of gas and I returned the truck with the gas a little over 1/4 of tank. The Uhaul employee informed me I was going to be charged a gas fee as I did not return it with enough gas. I went back to truck to take and put more gas in it but again saw it just over 1/4. It's dark now and I saw someone approaching and asked him if he was a Uhaul employee. He was rude and pointed to his jacket to show Uhaul emblem. Really!!!! Then the inside employee came back out and I showed him the gas gauge again. Then he started to apologize and tell me how bad a day he was having. Really!!!!! Not a great experience.

1. The inside of the windshield was so filthy I had to stop several times because the sun shining through made it impossible to see and, therefore, extremely dangerous. 2. As I was driving down a steep hill, the front end started shimmying so badly that I had to come to a complete stop and start again. This was very annoying and quite scary. 3. There was so much play in the steering wheel that I had to over-compensate which made the truck swerve and seem out-of-control -- which also made the contents shift and when I opened the rear door, some items nearly fell on top of me, even though those items had been well stabilized before closing the rear door. My reasons for rating the location as I did had nothing to do with the truck I rented. The personnel were extremely courteous and helpful and I was impressed with that aspect. There is no reason to denigrate the performance of the employees as it was certainly not their fault. I hope that U-Haul will take action to maintain their vehicles in a safer condition before renting them out. I consider the vehicle I was given to be dangerous to say the least.

U-Haul needs to start verifying customer information. I arrived 5 minutes late to my appointment in the North Syracuse location only to find that another customer had basically bullied her way into my reservation. The manager there said "she was angry and cursing" and convinced them that it was her name on my reservation via a typo. No verification of contract number, email address, or phone number was done. Also, since my email address and phone number were on the contract, I was called whens she didn't turn in the truck on time and I got a copy of her receipt showing that SHE had gotten a $100 credit. WHAT. THE. HELL? The N Syracuse manager did give me a $50 credit and found another truck (at this location) a couple hours later, this is the ONLY reason I'm not giving a Poor rating here.

The 27 foot truck reserved was unavailable and a shorter truck was substituted which caused 2 trips instead of the one and resulted in not being able to get the truck back . Called Corp who said "No problem" there would be no charge for returning after 5:30pm and then after numerous calls and NO RESPONSE from Manager still NO CREDIT for the extra day overcharge after 4 weeks. Female Asst manager said she would credit back to account. After 3 attempts MANAGER OF TEALL AVENUE IN SYRACUSE HAS NOT CALLED BACK TO CREDIT ACCOUNT.
