Signage about where to drop off the truck is unclear. Everyone was very friendly, but I didn't walk out feeling confident that the truck was checked in and that everything was all set.

Got to location at 9:20 and door was still locked, called location and someone answered and said they were in a meeting, asked if I needed help dropping trailer, I said no, never saw someone from that location, got email rec'p later in day, very poor customer service.
Currently still trying to resolve a billing error, they billed me for 2 trucks rather than just one and can't seem to get it straight.
We were given a truck with blankets and straps though we did not order these items.

The truck I rented had absolutely no washer fluid and the wipers were broken and therefore not effective. This created a major safety hazard, and I was upset to realize this only as I needed them. Fortunately, I was in an area of the interstate that was close enough to an exit with a gas station -- that is not something that can be taken for granted in Vermont, where there are long stretches of highway with no sources of help. I am stunned this was not checked prior to renting me the vehicle, especially when there was a storm impending. The need to take care of this myself added two hours to my trip because I had to stop twice to first fix, then replace the wipers myself, and yet Uhaul offered me no compensation or apology.
They didn't have the hand cart dollies like we wanted. They were nice enough to give us two flat dollies for free instead. I'm glad they gave us the freebie, but it would have been nice to have had the hand cart we wanted.
Facility was NOT open, even though their website said they would be. No signage directing me specifically where to drop off trailer within the large "return" area, no on-site help available to take trailer off. Ended up just leaving it in the disorganized parking lot and hoping for the best after calling the original pick-up location and asking for advice. Quite dissatisfying.
I wanted to pick-up my trailer in Bennington and was warned I may have to pick it up at a location "close by". The location I was directed to was over an hour away from Bennington in Brattleboro (both in Vermont). I was driving from Waterbury Vermont and I asked the gentleman in the Brattleboro location to see if there was any trailers of the size I required between Waterbury and Bennington. I called to confirm with the office in Barre Vermont where he had found a trailer for me. They didn't call back and luckily I remembered to call them back because when I did they did not have the reservation nor any trailers available. Turned out the person at UHaul central had not forwarded the reservation on. I ended up having to go to work in the morning, drive an hour back North to get the trailer then drive South to Bennington. All and all a great deal more running around and following up than I have every had to to in the past and frustrating.l
Uhaul needs to refund if trailers returned early....especially if customer gets charged for returning late.....
