Home improvement projects can seem daunting and stressful, but as a homeowner, you must address them eventually. If your resolution for 2013 is to take on a home renovation project, don’t worry; you’re not alone.

At moving insider, we know that it helps to have input from people who have been there and done that before, and have lived to tell about it! As part of our resolutions made easier series, we’ve compiled a list of the most useful home improvement posts from 2012.

When beginning any home improvement project, protect your furniture with tarps, or transfer your things to a storage facility temporarily. Also, be prepared for the waste in a large renovation by renting a dumpster to have on-site. Contact your local trash pickup service or Waste Management.
