Denver, CO was ranked in the top 10 US Growth Cities according to U-Haul, so it is no surprise as to why you would want to move to the Mile High City. With easy access to the beautiful Rockies and the Colorado River, the outdoor adventures are practically endless. However, Denver is a unique city because of its weather and its distinct neighborhoods so there are a few things to keep in mind when moving to Denver:
Weather
There’s a saying in Denver that says “If you don’t like the weather, wait 15 minutes.” That is how quickly the weather can change so you will need to be prepared for it all. Moving in the winter? Be prepared for wind and snow. Moving in the summer? Be ready for wind, sun, and rain. Because the weather changes so quickly, you will probably want to cover your items with a tarp. This will protect against sun, rain and snow damage. Just make sure to tie it down!
Tires
Because of the rapid change in weather, you will want to make sure you have the right tires. In a perfect world, you could move in the summer and not have to worry about it as much. But if you are moving in the winter (or just want to be prepared) then you will want to get all season tires.
Lifestyle 
There are lots of social hubs throughout Denver so make sure you know what kind of day-to-day you want. There’s Larimer Square, Cherry Creek, Belmar, and many others. If you are looking for an exciting, fast-paced lifestyle with nightlife, stay downtown. LoHi is a downtown area that always has something going on. You might also consider another side of Downtown Denver, River North, or RiNo. If you have a family or are just looking for a quieter lifestyle, consider Highland Ranch or Middleton. If you want a quieter lifestyle with lots of space, Parker might be your best bet.
Parking
If you’ve decided downtown living is what you are looking for, you need to scope out the parking beforehand. The streets can be small and difficult to maneuver in your moving truck. If you are moving into a highrise or apartment building, there might not be easily accessible parking right outside your building. Also, odds are that there are multiple entrances into your building, so find the easiest route to your new home from the street to avoid unnecessary walking with heavy objects.
