The holidays are here… which means so is the season of baking! Desserts make a great gift for family and friends, and college students love them right before finals! Whether your family makes cookies, brownies, cakes, or a little bit of everything, be sure you know how to ship these fragile desserts so they make it there in one piece.
What you’ll need:
- Shipping box
- Tupperware
- Bubble wrap
- Packing peanuts
- Shipping tape
- Wax paper
- Desserts (the more the merrier)… of course
Step 1:
Line the bottom interior of your Tupperware with bubble wrap. Place one layer of cookies down, and top that layer with one sheet of wax paper (depending on the cookie, this may be optional) and then top with a layer of bubble wrap.
Step 2:
Repeat Step 1 until the Tupperware is filled with several layers of cookies, wax paper, and bubble wrap. If there is any extra space, pack the Tupperware completely full with bubble wrap.
Step 3:
If needed, use your shipping tape to secure the lid of your Tupperware. This prevents the lid from coming off during transportation — just in case!
Step 4:
Place your Tupperware inside of your shipping box. If there is extra space, fill with packing peanuts and any leftover bubble wrap.
Step 5:
Secure your box with shipping tape and send your desserts on your way. The extra cushioning will ensure that the desserts make it in once piece. Happy holidays to all!
If you need your package to arrive before the holidays, be sure to check shipping dates! This can help you avoid any last-minute express shipping fees.
