Dec 30, 2014

New Year’s Eve is one of the evenings when you just wanna have a good time. It usually involves some planning, but “winging it” it always a fun option too. Whether you’re looking for wild New Year’s Eve celebrations full of dancing, a laid back outing with friends or even family fun with your little ones, you’ll find something of interest in one of these five cities!

New Orleans

New Year's Celebration New Orleans

The Big Easy- you’re almost guaranteed to have fun in this city. Travel and Leisure notes The Crescent City to be the scene for singles. Being host to Mardi Gras, and THE Jazz Festival, this city is no stranger to catering to big celebrations. The call out spots for NOLA are undoubtedly the French Quarter and Bourbon Street where you’ll enjoy the sound or horns and sights or fireworks. After your night out, make sure you grab a few beignets and a cafe au lait at the famous Cafe du Monde!

Denver

NYE celebrations aren’t all big, loud or flashy. If you’re looking for a night out with friends that’s a little more on the laid back side, a night out in the Mile High City might be what you’re looking for. Known for brewing, Traveler says “you’ll never be far from taps serving local beer!”

Two words: Music City! If you enjoy live music and a good time, Nashville might be the best place for you to bring in the New Year. In addition, downtown is covered with an abundance of excellent restaurants, bars, and entertainment along the Cumberland River.

New Year's Celebration OrlandoOrlando

New Year’s Eve celebrations can be quite different for families, especially if you have little children. You don’t have to opt out of celebrating for the New Year. Rather, head to a city that is almost synonymous with good clean fun: Orlando! Most people attribute Orlando to the home of Walt Disney World and Epcot Center. Good news- it’s close, but WDW is actually in Bay Lake, Flordia; it’s about 30 minutes away. Whether you’re seeking excitement or relaxation with your family, there’s plenty to do. SeaWorld, Universal Studios, Ripley’s Believe it Or Not, and plenty of lakes are located in The City Beautiful. You can find more information here.

Las Vegas

Does this one even need explanation? It’s always a party in Vegas! If you like to do it up big for your New Year’s Eve celebrations, this is the place for you. Prepare yourself for swanky hotels, hot night clubs and venues like The Chandelier at the Cosmopolitan, Hakkasan in MGM Grand, according to Conde Nast Traveler.

Whatever your NYE plans are, remember to have fun and most of all- be safe!
