You’ve just moved to Toronto. Now what? In 2013, U-Haul declared Toronto the Number One Destination City in Canada, so don’t fret. There’s plenty to do and see! Here’s what you need to know about living in Toronto.
Things to Do
Toronto’s must-see attraction is the CN Tower, an architectural icon, which was classified as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World in 1995. You can visit the LookOut, which offers breathtaking views of Canada’s Most Populous City or dare to take on EdgeWalk, an extreme attraction that allows people to walk, hands-free, 116 stories above the ground. If you’re not much of a thrill-seeker, you can check out some of the dining options available or indulge in some retail therapy. But make sure you stick around until the sun goes down! Night Lighting illuminates CN Tower in numerous colors that offer onlookers a spectacular performance.
Another popular destination is Toronto Islands, which offers a view of the amazing skyline. If you have children, you can keep them easily entertained at Centreville Amusement Park.
If you’re a sports enthusiast, be sure to check out the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Getting Around
There are numerous ways to navigate your way through the streets of Toronto. The Toronto Transit Commission offers travel via subway, bus, and even streetcar! You can easily get from here to there on foot, bicycle or using a taxi service.
Employment and Education
Toronto boasts major corporations such as the Royal Bank of Canada, Sears Canada, and Air Canada. For those seeking higher education, you can enroll at the University of Toronto or Ryerson University.
