Labor Day Grilling Checklist

Get ready for your BBQ or head out of town for the extended Labor Day weekend to relax and enjoy the last of the summer season. Labor Day is a holiday dedicated to honoring the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. You can find useful information on Labor Day’s history and additional resources here.

Labor Day has become the unofficial end of summer. With the end of summer comes the last opportunities to enjoy the propane grill and get your friends and family together for a good ole’ BBQ. Before all the fun begins, however, make sure all of your utensils, propane tank, and grill are in good working condition. Here are some things to consider:

Food – Hamburgers and hot dogs are classic. Did you know that between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Americans will have enjoyed over 155 million hot dogs? Want to be a little more daring? Check out these recipes for some inspiration!

Utensils – Having the right tool for the job is important. For burgers, use a quality spatula. For hot dogs, use some tongs.

Fuel – There is nothing more frustrating than having your guests ready to eat and you forgot to check the propane level on the tank before the party. Check your propane and get it refilled before your guests arrive. 55% of U.S. households will be grilling this holiday weekend and you can too.
