It was voted one of the top 10 “Safest Cities in the United States” in 2011 and 2014 by Forbes and the FBI Uniform Crime Report, respectively. The City of Henderson has a small city feel with all the luxuries and amenities of a big city. With some colleges and universities, state-of-the-art health care facilities, and grand local neighborhoods and casinos, this city would make a perfect home!

Did you Know that this city in Nevada was the main supplier of magnesium in the United States during World War II. A Magnesium plant was built there and the “miracle metal” was used for airplane engines and incendiary munitions.

Economy

One advantage of moving to the City of Henderson is tax benefits. In 1990, the citizens of Nevada approved a constitutional amendment to ban the burden of personal income tax. The citizens of this city do not pay personal income tax, corporate tax, inheritance tax, estate tax, gift tax, and property tax is low. The current sale tax is 8.1%, which excludes services, groceries and prescription drugs.

It is easy to access the City of Henderson from anywhere in the world! The city borders the McCarran International Airport and features the first class Henderson Executive Airport. It is also ideally situated along major passageways connecting California, Arizona, and Utah. If you do not have a vehicle, public transportation is an option.
