Truck had 1/2 tank of Fuel when picked up, contract info had at 7/8 tank. I reported to location and was told would be corrected BEFORE I left with the vehicle. I returned the vehicle with a 1/2 tank just like I got the vehicle. This location proceeded to charge my credit card for 10 gallons of gas for $57 for gas I DID NOT USE!! Tried calling location to dispute and they do NOT answer the calls and no voicemail available. This is fraud. I did report the gas issue before I left location and was assured it was corrected when it was NOT. I have wrote reviews about my UHaul experience on several platforms as this a theft and the $57 was taken from my account and I cannot reach the location to get resolvedDwayne K.
The truck I reserved was not made available for mobile pick up. I spent two hours trying to pick the truck up and a lot of time on the phone with U-Haul (mostly on hold) trying to resolve the situation. I was eventually helped out by an awesome customer service agent but two hours to pick up a truck is not ok. I was also charged the price of the bigger truck even though I was told I wouldn't be and I was also told I would receive a $50 refund which I haven't. I am dreading calling in to correct this because Of the terrible hold times. It's a shame because we have limited choices in my rural area for renting trucks.Mark T.

My original contract was $300 less than what I was charged. I was sent to a pick up location 1 hour away from my original pick up. I paid in cash and they did not have change ready. The U-Haul was on half empty gas. The back of the truck and the cab was not clean and smelled very bad. Pet dander and trash.Adrian Y.

The back of the truck had a dolly left in it and lots of trash. Front tire had to be aired up twice. All normal wear and tear but it would be great if it have to be that way.Juliana R.

Truck had just come in. Was not there day before. Cab was dirty. Had a low right front the day after I picked it up. Not so dirty I wouldn't use it, and I fixed the low tire (40/80).Kurt C.

Rental rates are deceiving. We were told the 20' truck we rented was $39 per day and 79 cents per mile, yet our bill was over $202 for a 1 day rental where we move from our old house to a new on less than 35 miles away. I found out after the rental that the $39/day rate was for an in-town rental where truck was picked up/dropped off at same location and U-haul charges a radically for rentals where truck is picked up at one location and dropped off at another.james H.

I reserved a truck in Pflugerville and at the last possible moment U haul called me and told me I would have to go to Lockhart.To get a truck that was just small enough to force 2 trips. That equates to extra time and money for the entire move. What's the point of reservation if U haul can set you up to fail. I will never use your service again. I fully understand why people pay movers which is what I will do moving forward.Cordell A.
This business shut its doors to the public for business. I made an online reservation and tried to pick up the keys from the lock box. Low and behold.... there was NO KEY! Since the business has shut its doors, I couldn't retrieve the key. I had to call uhaul to figure this out! They then put me in another truck that was on-site that had a key in the lock box. I got the key and the truck they rented to me, was parked BEHIND the truck I had an original reservation for AND the 26' truck was parked directly beside BOTH smaller trucks. There was also another customer there to rent the 26' truck that was blocking my truck in but guess what???? There was no key for his reserved truck either!!!!! This business is TERRIBLE! THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE AND YOU CANT LEAVE A VOICEMAIL! I was told by the towing yard connected to JR'S auto glass that they no longer overreacted business there at the glass company. They need to have their contact with uhaul ended.Danella M.

My overall experience with this location was ok.. it is with U-Haul at Als Mart in San Marcos in which I take issue with. I originally had reserved 3 days and a pickup of a U-Haul truck at the Als Mart location. When I called to confirm my pick up the representative said that the individual who had our rental did not return it to the location so I was without my rental on the day I needed it the most. I was able to get another rental but at a later time and 30 minutes further than my intended location. I am unhappy for a few reasons. This location was further so I had to pay addition 0.99/mile than originally anticipated both to and from the location, PLUS returning the rental with half a tank of gas. I am asking that U-Haul apply a discount or partial refund for not sticking to the original order. It does not have to be a massive amount but some sort of refund for having to desperately travel 21 miles x2 when the expected mileage of 3.7 x2(U-haul to apt., apt to u-haul location). we dropped out truck off 2 hours prior to expected time. the office person was at lunch and we were told to drop the key and contract into the uhaul box, which we did. We called back 11/2 hours later and she was still not there but was assured everything was ok as we were getting ready to leave the town. 2 hours after that so 1 hour after expect time, i get an email billing me for another day as she put the return time of the truck the time she pulled the contract from the box. We never got a call or anything. Will never go back to this location.WILBERT W.

Uhaul is always good, this time around could not find a uhaul From San Antonio to Austin all sold out, an when I did find one not the right size, so I had to spend lots of money, an the moving experience was awful. The location that I picked up at would not even hook up the trailer to the uhaul an always at lunch.Romeo C.

I had an issue with being charged too much, guy on the phone was rude and not helpfull at all, passed the buck onto uhaul corporate but refused to give their number.ANDREW EDWARD A.
The dropoff location tried as hard as they could to squeeze extra cash out of this situation (an auto glass and body shop, go figure), going as far as not checking the truck in until hours after I returned it so they could charge me for an extra day of use, which they did. They also claimed that the fully filled gas tank was at half, and charged me for extra miles driven, even though I had documentation to the contrary. They also said all the equipment was returned, which I never got to begin with; it's doubtful they even looked in the back of the truck. The manager of this racket then proceeds to push everything onto U-haul to rectify, so he's really making it a worse look for you all... Seems like an expensive business partner that you've probably had to overpay in the form of customer refunds when this kind of underhanded service has been performed previously. All in all, I spent several hours over two days in total getting all this straightened out, which was probably more time than the truck was in use. Suffice it to say I will be letting everyone I know that needs truck rental to entertain other options. This was a disaster all the way around, with 6 or 7 people not doing their job very well if at all. At least the truck didn't break down somewhere...Craig M.

My U-haul was not available. First...I rent The same week every year...a 26 foot truck...couldn't even rent one...so I had to get a 20foot Went to pick it up and it wasn't there!!! No truck!!!! I needed At least a 20 foot truck. I've never ever experienced this and the place I rented It from could've cared less and said I had to call uhaul. I called u-haul and was on HOLD for OVER 40 minutes and then they hung up. No call back nothing. Worst experience everCatherine R.

Your online system totally sucks. I went to pick truck up and your online could not find me even after I did your troubleshoot and allowed to be found. Luckily JR was at the location. He took care of situation. I prepaid $212.13 online -invoice #24858041 which you took out of my account on 4-2-2021. JR looked it up on his computer and as he was working on it everything on screen disappeared He had to start over with paper work generating invoice #91695911 and it would not let him finish without him running my debit card for $201.30 which you took out of my account on 4-3-2021. Now I have paid twice for the same truck and I fully expect a refund pretty quickly. Upon returning the truck your pice of crap online system again could not find me. JR went above and beyond to accommodate my needs but your system is indescribably idiotic and customer UNFRIENDLY. If I ever use u-haul again it will because of JR and not U-haul's system of double charging and online system completely useless. Please get back to me as soon as possible on when to expect getting one of my double billed charges back!!!! Thank youTerry V.

Everything was fine BUT the online reservation process was annoying/frustrating. I wanted to hire a trailer - not have every other service forced down my throat. It would have been nice to have it listed on the side and let me have a choice rather than force me to find my way through a maze with as many obstacles as can be thrown in my path. I filled up the tank past where it was required and they still charged me a fuel charge. They didn't even tell me they were going to charge me so I left thinking everything was fine. The only way I noticed it was by looking at my credit card activity online. I am NOT happy with that. One good thing was that the return took less than 5 minutes so I was in and out.Esther S.

We waited 1 hour on the phone with customer service to get the lock box code (despite having done the online check-in prior). After 1 hour on the phone, we became aware that the location had not set up the particular truck we had rented for 24/7 pickup and were given a different truck. At the time to return the truck, we had additional charges for furniture pads that we did not receive upon rental, so we had to dispute the overall final charge. Luckily, we still met our goal of moving, but it's a miracle considering all the hurdles we had to jump to rent and return this truck. 10/10 would not recommend.Marcus S.

When I picked up the trailer, the back door was opened and there was debris all inside the trailer, dirt and leaves. After signing my agreement letter and given my copy of it I was told where the trailer was parked and I had to life and install the trailer onto my truck hitch myself. The driver side lights on the trailer didn't work. Not the kind of service I have ever experienced from a Uhaul center.Steven L.
Have the equipment available that fits the customers need. I had to get a trailer that was bigger and more costly than I needed. There were trailers near, but could not be dropped off locally. I reserved a utility dolly and an appliance dolly. The girl told me they didn't have an appliance dolly. I asked why I was allowed to reserve one (at least 2-3 weeks earlier) if they don't have them. Her reply â€œI don't know...I'm sorry.â€ She told me to look inside the truck and if there weren't any dollys to come back in and tell her and she'd find me some. In the end, her mgr looked in another truck and found an appliance one! I had called the day before to confirm my reservation and was told the trucks get sanitized between rentals. The truck cab had food particles and a q-tip in it so I reiterated I'd been told they are sanitized to which I was told by the man â€œWe try.â€ I said there's a difference between doing and trying and he explained they're out of Lysol spray. WTH?? They didn't walk me out to go over the truck- she told me to find it per the number on the key and take pictures if I saw anything wrong. HORRIBLE SERVICE. I never received the tool I rented and I got charged for it and when I left and got to a gas station before I left town I noticed the oil life was real low I checked the oil and it wasn't even showing on the dip stick at all I had to add 2 quarts I tried to call Location and they would not answer the phone I called two days in a row and i still didn't get ahold of anyone.Ashley P.

If you had employees that knew there job in your call center it would have been great but your people tried to tell me to return the trailer to New Braunfels which was never told to me ever my contract said Lockhart they told me I could not drop it off there because they were not able to accept it for could not grt in the gate there is no gate your people need to know there JOB!!!!!! Employee(only one) not on site for pick up, (had to wait 30 minutes past scheduled time), then not on site when bringing it back(another 20 minute wait). Also busy with another customer & said to leave the key & he would process it as received but didn't do that for 2 days. Had uhaul call me about it because it â€œwasn't returned as scheduledâ€. Uhaul had to actually reach out to actual owner of the business there to get it done. I will not be returning to this location for another rental, i would rather drive further and have it go as scheduled than deal with this placeTiffany S.

Explain before a person reserves equipment if it is availed on location. I reserved the truck two,days ahead of time and even the person working there showed it to me and explained even when they would be closed it would be ready that Saturday. I checked the next day Friday at the same location the day before I picked it up and again the said they had the reservation and it would be a Available even when the place was closed. It wasn't and it took more then a hour to find another's. I will never use this type of service fro up haul again. Get you act together. I will tell others the same story. Don't use the app!
