I dropped off by 26-ft truck without my contracted trailer because the tires had caught on fire. The trailer was left behind somewhere around Springfield Illinois. When I've got to my location in Texas to drop off the truck only because we had refused another trailer because we were spooked by this event . The man I was talking to was not professional. I asked for some type of a receipt stating that I had dropped the truck off he refused to give me one said I could stick around until he inspected and checked the truck and I said can I just have a receipt pending inspection. Also he wanted to know where the Auto Transport Trailer was I told him it was towed away around Springfield Illinois and his reply was how do I know that you could have sold it to somebody in Mexico. I showed him a picture of the tires blown out and the fire department there and his response was you could have had a buddy in the fire department just pull up there. In around about way accusing me of doing some type of Nefarious things with the trailer trying to cheat him. This location is connected with a bar next door, we were in the hours of operation for a U-Haul facility but he refused to walk next door to his U-Haul office and do anything on his computers I'll get to it when I get to it.

This location was a liquor store. As customers come in, you get pushed to the side so they can ring up other customers during your encounter. Also, although my truck was “clean” I complained of issues with the brakes but they told me it was normal and the brakes were fine….they were not fine to me.

Philip TArrived at the Uhaul location and there was a sign saying to go to the store next door. The Issue I saw was that there was one person working in the store and also working the Uhaul location. Seems that it was a lot of work for one person. Had to wait for store transactions to end in order to get help with my Uhaul questions and get it rented.

Alan AThe entire rental process was a nightmare, I called three different times to secure my reservation. Nothing was as it was expected. First, I was supposed to have reserved a car transporter and instead I received a tow dolly. Then I was charged an additional amount. Upon arrival, I was instructed to drop the tow dolly at one location, the truck at another location and the storage unit was at even another location. The storage unit was to have been at the drop point for the truck but the attendant at that location didn’t find my reservation in her system. This was all overwhelming, especially after I went to great lengths to ensure everything was secured.

There's no time in the day to rent one but thank goodness U-Haul has a service like this where I can still pick up my box truck anytime of the night. I'm glad I didn't give up hopes to look for one through online and found out that U-Haul has a service like this. This was definitely more than just a 5 star rating more like a 10 rating. Thank you U-Haul for your help and it was very much affordable too.
