I was quoted $67.99 on the website, go and return the truck and I am handed and invoice for $246.00 plus the $30 it cost me to top off the tank. I used the truck for less than 40 miles round trip. Absolutely ridiculous.Alex T.

Truck was dirty on outside. Had to clean all glass and mirrors to safety use. Truck sounded like it had engine/muffler issues. Sounded like driving a tractor. Person renting truck had several trucks on lot suspect was given worst running truck because I was renting one way. Moving son to college and did not feel safe the whole way. The biggest issue I had was with Uhaul in general (not this pick up location) as follows: I booked my truck on line. 4 days before arriving to pick up my truck, i called the original pick up location to confirm that the truck would be there and available on Sunday at 830am because I had movers arriving at 10am. He confirmed. Then, Friday evening at about 5pm, I receive a text to call uhaul because of a modification. I am informed by some Uhaul rep named Miles that my truck won't be at my original location 8 min away anymore. A different one is available 20 min away, but not at 830am, only at 930am. Why, because the truck that was supposed to be returned to my original location was returned somewhere else. Ok, fine, but compensate me for the inconvenience. Drive the truck to my location, knock a few bucks off the rental price, something. Only thing the Uhaul rep, Miles, could do was offer more driving miles and/or more days. Neither of these helped. I had movers booked for 10am. Too tight a turnaround. No help from Miles at Uhaul at all. It turns out, only because of blind dumb luck, did we get a 15-footer on the Saturday before our Sunday reservation. We just happened to be driving past another nearby location when we saw a couple 15-footers in the parking lot. We pulled in, asked if we could rent one for a one-way trip on the spot. The lady tending the Uhaul shack was very kind and accommodating and was able to rent it to us right then and there. Turns out she had plenty of blankets to spare too. In my opinion, this is a perfect example of Uhaul not having complete knowledge and control over their rental network AND an a pathetic inability to accommodate its customers when they are inconvenienced. We rented the truck and hit the road the next day. As soon as we hit the road, the check-engine light comes on. What the heck! We make a quick stop at the rental location. Lady assures us just a gas cap situation and, should anything happen, we can call their excellent roadside assistance support. Ugh! Truck had just been loaded and we have scheduled movers on back end. Jeez! So... we roll the dice. We make the 13 hr trip without incident (thank goodness). I turn the truck in a day ahead of time (no compensation for that) and tell them about the check-engine light situation. The drop off location shrugged it off and led me to believe that they weren't going to do anything about it. What is going on, Uhaul? 🤨Winton E.

I never saw the business. When I drove into the parking area someone met me with a mobile device. She did not introduce herself but she started repeating information about my contract and told me about extra charges for each additional mile. The checkin process was very easy but I had never been met in the parking lot like that before and it would have helped if she had introduced herself.Sherie D.

I need you to understand that I am trusting a giant company with brand recognition to deliver on its promise. My experience started with a convenient offer to switch my offer to a 24/7 truck share. I chose this because I would have had to spend less time with a valuable client if I had to hold a 5:45 appointment. I showed up at 6:02 to a dark store, good thing I switched to that 24/7 truck share and went through the trouble to download that app right? Boy was I wrong, apparently 24/7 means I'll be met with a come back at 9:00am 9 hours prio to the current time. Luckily the helpful representative agreed that 24/7 meant I should be able to pick up my truck, unluckily his promise to directly connect me to the folks who could help went unfulfilled. After 40 minutes listening to shitty hold music and a direction to pay my nonexistent storage fees online, I was connected with someone who almost fixed the issue. My new reservation pickup was convenient but the truck was only okay. It didn't have major issues but the cab smelled like a smokers home if they didn't smoke inside. The compartment smelled like wet golden retriever, unwashed human, and a hint of manure. The dolly was unsecured and the bracket to secure it was broken. My reservation was shortened by an hour in spite of my wasting an hour on the phone. The truck performed well and the return was smooth because I chose not to try a last trip with my shortened reservation. I will seriously reconsider renting from U-Haul again in the futureBrian W.

I was driving around for a while to figure out where this place was. Meanwhile, I had to get gas again, because I couldn't find it. When I finally realized that i had driven by it several times, I was puzzled that the actual drop off was at a dive pub parking lot. This made me late and I was charged an extra $60+. Then I had to walk around for like 10 minutes to find the actual key drop box, which was hidden behind the building, attached to a storage closet entrance. It felt like I was in a twilight zone movie and I wouldn't want to drop off anything there after dark. Awful lack of signage and not clear at all. Picking up the truck was not a problem as we did the after hours pick up and didn't have to deal with any people. The blankets were not on the truck however so we had to go to another Uhaul place to get them. When we had the car trailer added on for some reason we had to jump through a bunch of hoops, even though it was all prepaid, etc. This put us 1.5 hours behind schedule and we lost a lot of time as we got stuck in Portland. My reservation was rescheduled 3 different times at 3 different locations. The last time called I was told pickup was in Lacey, it was not it was 15 miles from the house I was moving out of. My reservation was at 8:30am, I went to go pick up the truck and there wasn't one. I had movers I booked through uhaul at my house at 9am and I didn't get a truck until 9am.
