This was the absolute WORST â€œcustomer serviceâ€ experience I have ever had and probably will ever have in my life. Had an appointment to pick up at 8:30. Reserved everything online. Arrived at 8:15, and the â€œownerâ€ clearly had NO IDEA what he was doing and appeared as if he had never used a computer before. He couldn't find our name in the system even after showing him everything on our phone. There was another guy there that was absolutely no help either. 1 hour later he tells us he doesn't have any one way trucks... what!! Does he have any idea what he's talking about? I asked him so you couldn't have told me that an hour ago?? I was livid with a screaming toddler in the car. We had friends and family waiting at our house to help us move, and more friends scheduled to help move in at our new house. The guy told me to leave his establishment. He was actually kicking us out after all that. Then we could still hear him talking on the phone about us with who knows who, U-Haul support I'm assuming, he wouldn't tell us. Sooo we waited another 30 min... then my husband asks if he's gonna be able to get us the truck after all and he snapped back â€œyesâ€ but didn't bother to tell us that or anything else sooner. ANOTHER HOUR LATER we finally get our truck bc the person on the phone had to guide him step by step on how to use a computer. So it's now 10:45 and we got the truck but it totally messed up our entire moving day. NEVER USING U-HAUL AGAIN. Btw by the time we left the place was jam packed with other people he also didn't know how to help and he would just snap at and cuss at them. What a joke. How this severely incompetent person is running a business is beyond me. Fire him immediatelychristopher H.
Better explanation of truck features. I didn't figure out how to turn cabin light on until I got to turn in store. I needed them multiple times and I think there was a light in storage area but I did everything in the dark. Burbank store employee told me nobody figures out the crazy light knob.DAVID D.

We dropped off our truck on Friday the 19th to the owner of the store. He said we didn't need to sign anything. We then got a call yesterday the 22nd that we needed to drop off the truck. We told them we already had. They had no record of this because the owner didn't do the paperwork he was supposed to. Now I'm getting a receipt saying I kept the truck until the 22nd, and being charged for it. NOT OKAY.MICHAEL F.

The gentleman who checked me out did not verify the gasoline level before I took off. I returned the truck with a higher level than what I left with. Still I was charged 4.5 gallons for a 19 mile trip. I was told the main off would be notified. I'm still waiting for a response.MICHAEL B.

The computer system was down and not the representatives fault, but it took over an hour to get my rental. The truck was not clean and there was a squealing noise from the engine, which worsened by the end of my trip. The truck made it without any other issue and UHauls innovative truck design make loading and driving easy overall, but cruise control would have been nicer.James G.

I was charged a $20 fee for returning the truck after hours. The contract states that there is a fee if you return the next day. But I was very disappointed in having to pay this hidden fee. It seems there is no way to avoid this fee. That is misleading and, unless this fee is reversed, I will not rent from this location again.Asif K.
I initially tried to reserve a Uhaul at the Mission Truck Rental Oceanside location. After being treated poorly, cursed at, and having my reservation cancelled for a debt I didn't owe, I reached out to area manager Joe. Joe and his colleague Muhsinah were able to resolve the issue. They cleared the misapplied debt and rescheduled a reservation for me in a timely manner at the San Marcos location. They helped ensure I was able to pick up my furniture after several failed efforts with other people. They are truly a dynamic duo.AREBA R.

When I placed the order I chose a drop off location that had 24/7 dropoff for convenience, and I was told to call 8004288465 for it. But guess what, that number is useless after business hours. So I couldn't get information. Then I wasn't told that you have to go online and closeout the reservation when doing a dropoff, so I was charged a $20 fee. If I had known that I would have kept the truck the 4 days I was allowed and dropped it off in the morning, instead of dropping it off 3 days early. Despicable experience with everything.GASER E.

The location is 5 min. From home, Lake San Marcos. Pleasant staff. The Ammco mechanic, Joe, was taking care of front office while also working on vehicles. Consider reserving a truck online easier for the staff and you are assured to get the vehicle you want. Kudos to Joe! Still the wait was only a few minutes, the same as the wait at the Escondido location on Mission, my usual go to location. I will be back soon when the temperatures come down. Loading and unloading in 98Â° temps. was challenging. Bring your own Clorox wipes and wear your mask.Pamela M.
