Sean was awesome. The website was giving me issues and was a bit disgruntled when having to walk in and get things sorted out. I was hoping to do this in a no contact method due to the current pandemic. Well when greeted by Sean, he took care of everything quickly and with a personable manner. Will use them again and recommend to others if asked.
Easy access, clean truck, good rental and return system
I picked up the truck via my mobile phone. There were some steps that were unclear. Like where to put the lock when we received the truck. I also didn't get the dolly that I ordered, it was a hassle getting the furniture in and out of the truck.
All were very sweet and helpful!

The lady at the front desk was rude. Maybe she was having a bad day. 🤷ðŸ½â€â™‚ï¸ They weren't very busy either. Not sure what her problem is, but I'm not going back to this location as long as she is there.

I left a tablet under the seat of the truck when I dropped it off. They went right on it , locating the truck and when it returned they went right to it and called me immediately. Perfect, outstanding customer service!!!!
The mobile checkout process was the only negative. I went 3/4 of the way through the process only to find out you do not support FireFox mobile browser -- the app is not capable of uploading photos in FireFox. It would be helpful to call out up front that you only support Chrome on on Android phones.

The young man who greeted us was waiting for us outside when we turned into the parking lot. He was polite. We were in and out in 10 minutes or less. Map this location out first to be sure you are coming in from the right direction or plan to weave through a neighborhood (which is not hard if you map it first).
They were kind to check me in when I arrived at closing time.
I can't think of anything! I've been to several Uhaul centers in recent years and this one was the best hands down! Thanks for making it easy.

The vehicle was a disgusting mess. And then when I dropped off the U-Haul U-Haul tried to charge me for cleaning the vehicle which was already a mess. I don't keep my vehicle that dirty. You should not send others out in a dirty vehicle either.

The toughest thing for us was checking the truck back in via our phones. We spent almost 45 minutes trying to do this. When this didn't work, I dropped off the key in the slot and called the Santa Fe office number the next day. Everything was checked in properly, but that was a hassle. Thanks.
At this location not much the people there were friendly to the point and wasted no time . I rent a lot of your trucks this location has it together.
The after hours return by app was like the movie Groundhog Day. I had to enter the same information multiple times after uploading the pictures. It would say that page not available and I'd get knocked out of the system and have to start all over again. Really not fun after hours of moving and my phone battery wearing down. There is no charger port in the truck. Everything else about the location was fine, the truck was very clean and people at the location friendly and efficient.

I was shown a "full" tank and told twice I would need to top it off after I used the van. I filled the van on the way back, and was shocked that it took 6 gallons to fill! I drove 26 miles. If the tank was not truely full when I received it. That makes the van milage about 4 miles a gallon! I think the tank was not full to the brim when I picked up the van. After I filled the van, the gas tank showed well over full--so the gas gage is off.

I've picked up and dropped off at this location before and have always had a smooth and professional experience here. Highly recommend.
Let customer know that blankets need to be folded before return or get charged $25. Truck had about 60K miles which should be OK but does not have charging capacity for phone via USB. Surprised by that, did not check beforehand. Prefer diesel to gasoline and automatic transmission downshifted frequently going uphill on speed control. This is not a reflection on the dealer, rather U-Haul in general.

First I had to pick my tow dolly up at a different location. When we plugged in the lights they didn't work. I had to come back from Albuquerque to Santa fe the next day again. Very disappointed.
