The day I went to pick up the 6x12 trailer that I rented went just as horribly as I expected it to but I had high hopes. I've had a run of bad luck with UHAUL over the last few months trying to get my storage shed items that were in Illinois back to Missouri. Every time I have rented, the equipment was either not at my preferred location or didn't have at all. On this day of picking up the 6x12 trailer at ACE in Pekin I learned that the store employees had not been trained on how to wait on a customer and was then told that our trailer was outside in the parking lot and we just had to go and get it. Upon walking out to the lot we discovered that the 6x12 was still hooked up to a 20' truck in the lot. So, my husband and I, both with bad backs were expected to unhook this equipment from another vehicle, lift the 6x12, drag the 6x12 over to our vehicle because we couldn't back up to it since a 20' truck was in the way and then hook up wiring and safety chains by ourselves. When we left ACE we went down to the UHAUL where our storage shed was and asked the staff there to check our trailer set up since we are not pros and discovered that it was set up incorrectly, we didn't have the correct hitch and if we had hit a bump in the road the hitch would have come disconnected and could have caused a serious accident, wrecked a UHAUL which i'm sure you would have sued me for and people driving on the highway behind us could have been killed. Thank goodness for the staff at 2909 Court Street, i'm sure they saved lives that day. While the staff at ACE Hardware were wonderful and as helpful as they could be, this should never happen. I was trying to imagine two elderly or disabled people renting a Uhaul and being told to go get it in the lot and finding what we found, a trailer still hooked up to a 20' truck and having to lift this trailer and hook it up themselves. This should never happen! People could have died that day if the staff at another facility weren't there to help us out. Please remove UHAUL from that location or train the people there on how to handle rentals and hookups before someone dies. I will never recommend that location and will warn people away from it as much as I can.

This was not a good recommend place to return equipment. They do not deal with U-Haul rentals and equipment much at all.

Flat tire on trailer. Only repair service was over an hour away. I was in an area of farm tractors and implement dealers. Uhaul needs to improve its support network. The man who came brought a new tire already to go on the rim. He was excellent. His name was Walker and he came out of Lake City Florida while I was parked on US 19 north of Cross City Florida.

The knowledge of the staff at the pickup location was seriously lacking. Better trained and more capable staff.

I had a great experience with pickup. They gave a very personal touch that is rare these days. I could not be happier with how everything went.

This is at ACE hardware, person I talk to send me up the road to U-haul moving and storage. The person there said I didn't have reservation. I then came back to the ACE hardware location and try to call the Truck Share 24/7 phone line, was put on hold multiple times, one time the lady who put me on hold answer the phone and thought I was someone new. By now my wife found a lady inside ACE and was able to get hold of an agent. My original truck was not available in Morton and was change to this place, but the Truck Share 24/7 portion was not working so I couldn't do anything with my mobile app. Would not recommend Truck Share as my move was from IL to TX (18 hours travel). ACE had hard time with the combo letter lock to get it open to retrieve the key. This truck was very low on gas, dirty inside the cab, broken glasses inside the truck (my loaders had to sweep out), and my 4 dozen furniture pads were not in the truck or available in ACE.

This was not the original location for the reservation pick up. The previous renter dropped it off at the wrong location. It was not a big deal, but was one of three changes in my reservation.

We were told that if we put more gas in the vehicle than what was in it to start with we would receive a refund. When I was reading the contract it said that we would not be refunded. Also, when we dropped off, then the man said they won't refund. The person at the starting point needs to be educated on the issue.

Have everything I reserved in one location and be aware that a customer is coming to pick up a truck at a specific time. Also know what truck and size your customer reserved. Moving out of state is stressful enough, planning, packing, leaving…then to show up and have to deal with incompetency who wasted my time because they dropped the ball… Very disappointing.

I had to change return locations because the one I had set for returning the truck no longer does uhaul which cost me more miles and over an hour of my time trying to get set up to return to a different location. Over all your company cost me several hours of wasted time

They didn't hsve my appliance dolly or furniture dolly on the truck and the truck kept throwing the check engine light. The truck was great but the quality of service wasn't the best.

Very limited in supplies as opposed to a Uhaul Store. Good service though as 26 footers are rare.
