Before dropping off our truck, we put gas in it to bring it back up to the 3/8 tank of gas that was in it when we picked it up. We have now been charged a ridiculous amount to put 6 gallons of gas in. We want this amount reversed and credited back to us. First, because there was NOT 1/2 tank when we picked it up, second because there is no way that it took 6 gallons to get from 3/8, where we left it, to 1/2 tank, and third because of the horrible service we have received and shady business operations.Kimberly H.

The staff were great and kept me informed. The truck I ordered was not going to be available so they called to inform me well in advance of the alternative vehicle they could provide. I appreciated this because it gave me peace of mind knowing I would have a vehicle when I needed one. Once I arrived, everyone was friendly and helpful. I overheard them talking about another customer and how they could better serve him when he returns. I thought that was great. Another customer was at the wrong place for his Amazon return but they took the time to explain how he could best be served going forward. They clearly are customer focused at this location. Mary was the Bomb! She went the extra mile for customer service. Uhaul needs to let customer know 48 hours in advance where and when pick up is. I found website check in to be confusing and could not complete.lisa H.

You low life scum bags. My requested pick up location was Greece NY not 90 miles away. You didn't bother to let me know until 6:50 pm the night before. Then everyone of your call center $5.50 per hour, don't give a damn employees first statement started with â€œdid you read the paragraph that said â€¦â€. Yes I did, do you know what RESERVATION, means? Not only was the car carrier in HORNELL, the truck was in Bath. Wow, you really know how to screw your customers.EUGENE M.

They called me because they said that you all were supposed to be back at 9:30 but we didn't check out from picking up the U-Haul that they previously to 1130 but we still got charged I told him about my experience with you all and he said that there was nothing that he could do to help with all of the fuel that we had to put into it because we did not rent from themWILLIAMF W.

The checkout process via your app took about 2 hours. I couldn't even complete the check-in process which resulted in an extra day rental. Your CS staff hung up and disconnected me numerous times. Trenton was the only rep that provided great service. AIMS was great, my UHual experience was terrible- so much that I begged my niece to try Penske for her move this weekend, and I'll never, ever use UHaul again in my life.Jessica C.

Don't rent out trucks with dangerously worn tires!! According to the UHaul rep at the drop- off location, the tires were so worn, it was amazing I arrived to my destination. That would explain why I had trouble controlling the truck at hwy speeds!Wendy D.

I had a truck reserved for local for one day. The truck was rented out to someone else despite confirmation. I had to get a truck,much larger than I needed or wanted at a SECOND location. The truck I actually got was dirty in the cab. The floor was full of mud and it also smelled.. The windshield was covered in bug splatter and I had to clean it before I could use the truck. Both power ports were dead so I couldn't keep my phone charged for google maps. This bad experience is the second one I had with U-haul in two months. I will look elsewhere for a rental from now on.Richard A.

I called the Hornell location reserved a 10 ft truck. Later the same day I received a follow up call from U-haul main office confirming my 10 ft. truck reservation. The next morning I arrive at Hornell location for my 10ft truck. I am then told I cannot have the truck even though it's in perfect working order and sitting right outside the door. The counter worker told me I would have to choose a larger 17 ft truck because the manager said he's keeping the 10ft truck for future one way rental. I tell them I cannot use a larger 17 ft truck. They tell me the only other option is a small van. I needed a truck that day so I take the only choice I have and move what I can with it. I was promised a 10ft truck twice! But the manager refused to rent it to me for the day. I am not happy with the experience I had with U-haul because of the manager refusing to honor my reservation.richard A.

I believe I was over charged, I initially rented the truck for a week with 350 miles but when i got their to pick it up I said I didn't know thete was a elvis package available with 750 miles so they changed it for me and charged me a little over the hundred. After the week I wasnt finished moving so I called abs said I haven't even used half the miles but wanted to keep the truck. They Informed me that it would be twenty dollars a day for the truck and no mileage charge until I went over the initial 750 then I should be charged per mile. Clearly that is not ethat happened, I kept our another 5 days and in total was billed seven hundred dollars. I will not recommend to anyone to purchase this service becausr I was misled about pricingBrandy C.
