My reservation was made for 7 AM, but when I show up at 7:15 AM, after already calling U-Haul on the way there because the system wouldn't let me sign-in, I came to understand that the key for the vehicle had not been placed in the lockbox. I found this out when I called U-Haul on the phone for the second time. The U-Haul agent told me that that location opened at 9:30 AM. I then had to return at 9:30 AM to get the key for the vehicle, and found out that there was a lot more to the rental approval process than I was originally aware of on the U-Haul website. The U-Haul location is a grocery store that opens at 9:30 AM, so I had to stand in line with multiple shoppers in front of a grocery store worker with her attention divided. The grocery store worker (who was working by herself on a weekend for the first time) was on the phone with U-Haul at the same time I was on the phone with U-Haul because the U-Haul system was down and their computer couldn't access my reservation. I finally got the vehicle at 9:55 AM. I took pictures of the outside of the vehicle and the odometer, and headed off to the address where my movers were waiting. These issues getting the vehicle made us 3 hours behind schedule. When I arrived at the address for the move and rolled up the door, I realized that the two dollies, appliance dolly and two dozen moving blankets that I'd pre-ordered were not in the back of the vehicle. During the move, we had to make do with not having the U-Haul equipment that I was counting on. I had 17 movers there and so I could not drive back to the U-Haul location to acquire the stuff that was not in the vehicle when I picked it up. Time was obviously an issue but so was the additional mileage that that running around would have unfairly incurred. This whole experience was very inconvenient, and is why I wouldn't recommend U-Haul to anyone who needs to move. The U-Haul agent (Cindy) I spoke to in the afternoon to inform about the missing equipment told me that U-Haul would be making some reparations for the inconveniences of the experience. I look forward to hearing from U-Haul in the regard.

My 830 on-line rental got changed to a 930 in person and no one told me
Jeff CTruck cab could definitely use a good clean. The driver side seat belt is very finicky and sometimes did not want to click into the locked position. When truck was picked up, the back was pretty dirty. I cleaned it out before I used it. The check fuel cap light was on constantly, but overall the truck drove fine. After dropping it off I got charged a $25 cleaning fee for the back area, though I can guarantee it was in much better condition then when I received it, and also was overcharged $80 on fuel charges, even though I had filled it above the point of where I started with it. Luckily I did have pictures of the mileage and tank gauge to prove that I filled the gas and a call to the uhaul with this proof help me get the fuel overcharge back. It felt a little like the owners of the store purposefully let me leave before checking the truck to make these extra charges. I had a bit of a off feeling about the situation but it was the only 26' truck available in the area so I was stuck.... at least they got the mileage right....
Benjamin AStore employee took 90mins to complete our transaction. Very confused. Needed to keep calling people for help to complete E-contract. Nothing was prepared. Truck only had 1/4 tank of gas. It caused us to be late and also cost us money. Definitely wouldn’t go back there.
Adam HWorst customer experience. The attendant did not have any prior experience of booking. They added CDW coverage even when I did not select it in the first place and then he mentioned its a mandatory coverage. Additionally when i added a 4-wheel dolly equipment, he mentioned they have it in stock but then gave me a 2-wheel one which gave me a super hard time moving. Lastly mentioned he can't help with anything and i should be reaching out customer service. Not visiting this location again.
GAURAV GNot in the winter. The parking lot is not well maintained, I was stuck for over 30 mins and that cut into my booked time and made me late for my movers.. the store opens later which I never found out until 10pm the night before so no one was there to help me. Then when I returned the truck the parking lot was like a pool, so my feet got soaked.

RYAN BMany charges were added to my receipt upon drop off. I don't know what cwp protection is nor do I want to pay for it. I put fuel in the truck. Why am I being charged $30 for fuel services AND $39 for fuel.

ALEXANDER SThere was a puddle of water in the back of the truck, the gas. They stated it was in the truck was not there was less. They did not have the blankets I asked for, and it took the gentleman a really long time to go through my contract and even then there were still things wrong that caused a hassle with drop off.
