Alpha Auto was not our original U-Haul pickup location. We had reserved a truck at another location in town, and the day before pickup U-Haul notified us that it had been moved more than 20 miles to Alpha Auto. The last-minute change was frustrating and not easy to work around — that part falls on U-Haul, not the dealer. At check-in, Alpha Auto asked whether we wanted to pick up the truck and the auto transport together, since they have to attach the trailer for you. That would have been useful to know ahead of time from U-Haul. Because of the extra distance, we had already loaded the truck without the loading ramp, then had them attach the auto transport. Before we went out to the yard, the representative warned us that the truck had significant damage on the passenger side. They said they had spoken with U-Haul support and were told that as long as the truck was safe to drive, it was fine. No other truck was available. We documented the passenger-side rear fender, exhaust, and bumper with photos during check-in. Alpha Auto was upfront about the damage; the condition of the truck is on U-Haul. Alpha Auto itself did a great job. Staff went out of their way to share helpful tips for loading our Mazda onto the auto transport, which made getting the car on the trailer and on the road much easier. Aside from the damage, the truck drove fine, though it pulled slightly to the right. The cab was clean and comfortable. Our irritation is with U-Haul’s last-minute location change and the damaged truck — not with Alpha Auto.

Just average drop off location

Roy JHorrible. The U-Haul was not at the reserved location. I had to drive over an hour away to get the truck that I had already booked and paid for. If the truck is not available at the booked location you should not be able to book the location. No one reached out to let me know. The vendors at the location didn't know anything and were not helpful. Would never recommend.

Todd MI am sooooo very upset with this experience. The equipment was not ready for use. We had to call u-haul to assist us as it was buried in snow. Nobody was at the location. There was snow all over the vehicle. It was frozen into the ground. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!!

Had to be on the phone with U-Haul for an hour while they were just as confused as I was. I’d rather just cancel my entire move than ever go to this location for a U-Haul ever again.

Donald NFirst we wanted pick up in Canby MN and had to go to Toronto,SD to get . Then get a message it would be canceled after we pick up cause thw employee didnt do the online paperwork. We had requested drop off in North Haverhill NH and they scheduled OT for North Hampton , NH 3 hours away. Needed to call and straighten that out. Still could not drop in North Haverhill needed to take to Littleton NH still 30 min away. That person was so unfriendly. So inconvenient when there are HAul places closer.
