Peter at the front desk did not record gas gage acutely. When asked to look at it with me , he said, â€œ I don't have time.â€ He also added one mile in the paperwork saying, â€œ it's for moving the truck around the property â€œ I believe he does this regularly to increase his profits. I could not get in touch via phone and I had to drop off the tow dolly, so I took it down to Alpine. The person there said I was not on the schedule until the next day and that I would have to take it back home with me and do another 100 mile round trip the next day. I was about to leave it on the sidewalk, when he found room for it...Tim M.

Checkin was not as easy as lead to believe. The lot is ridiculously small and trying to maneuver my personal vehicle and the rental truck was a pain. At checking I was told they prefer no personal vehicle be left but not sure what the option would have been otherwise. Overall, the truck ran fine and was in good shape abs clean.HEIDI W.
Never use the Carbondale, CO location. They are very unprofessional. I wasn't happy with the overall U-haul experience. The Glenwood location was nice and the people were nice but it's what I had to do to get that point. First, I was told I would receive a phone call the day prior to schedule pick up time and location. Never received a phone call. Second, I was never informed that I would be downloading the app to complete my pick up and wasted 4 critical hours of my moving day. Third, the key to my U-haul truck was not in the key drop off box. And finally the even if the key was in the drop box the truck was blocked in. I wouldn't have been able to go anywhere anyways. Once again this is the Carbondale, CO location that I went through this terrible experience not the Glenwood, CO location they were super friendly and helpful. I will not be recommending U-haul to anyone in the future nor will be using U-haul again. Very unprofessional to say the least.JARED L.

The truck was not in great shape. The steering had a lot of play, the brakes had a lot of give in the pedal, and the transmission slipped when shifting. Other than that, the location of the facility and the people were great to work with.STEPHEN S.

However customer service and the gentleman named Mike who is the head of the traffic control over the Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction area, He was a very horrible person. This Uhaul rental was a horrible experience and we'll NEVER USE THIS LOCATION OR SERVICE AGAIN!!!THOMAS W.
The staff told us to just drop keys in the box and use the online drop-off link, but never mentioned the odometer reading. I paid $20 extra dollars because I was not informed of this part of the online drop-off and dropped the key before taking the reading. You should properly inform your customers to use the link for the odometer reading first. I'm hopeful this wasn't a malintention, and that your team takes steps to avoid this in the future.Megan J.

Have truck parked in lot, or clearly communicate that the truck is not in the lot when using online check-in to avoid spending 10 minutes looking for the truck, then another ten retrieving it from a different location then the reverse when returning it.Braden M.

Absolutely the worst experience I could ever imagine going through as a customer. This amazingly incompetent hot headed sad little person, too lazy to grab a dolly for the trailer, comes out and completely and impressively displays unprofessional and sheer lazy actions, complete with swearing, slamming chains and damaging things trying to drop the trailer off. If you don't want to provide this U-Haul services at your pathetic little chop shop, then don't. Save the customers some trauma.Greg S.

When dropping off the truck it was difficult to get the lock box numbers to roll to different numbers when trying to close it. While attempting to get the box locked when returning the key an employee with a beard and green gauge earring pulled up and said he would take the key and deal with it. I let him know that I was not able to park the truck in the place in the spot from the morning since a tow truck had parked there. At that point the employee had a hissy fit and became loud saying that the truck was parked somewhere else that morning and I was lying. Pictures prove that wrong. Then he started in on saying use the white lines they are parking spaces. Guy was a complete dick. Someone returning a moving truck already had a long day and to have to deal with some guys shitty attitude is poor service. I will not use this location again.scott K.
I would recommend this location only because it is the only place in town. If they had competition, perhaps they would be more welcoming of their customers. They provided no parking on their lot for me when I picked up the U-Haul vehicle for a few hours of use, but had neglected to tell me in advance that I'd have to drive back across the highway several blocks, up a hill, to park my car on a neighborhood street and walk back to the dealership before I could pick up my rental. And when I questioned that policy a bit, since they had about 10 open parking spots on their lot, their response was "Yeah, that's what we [i.e. employees] have to do, too." But ... they are not customers!! At the very least, they could tell people in advance that this is the arrangement. I was short on time, and if I had known how complicated it would be, I could have allowed extra time and parked my own vehicle first before arriving at their door for my rental vehicle.Barbara D.
