I have rented a pickup from these folks several times, but no more. This time, they charged me an extra fee for returning after hours (w/o QR code) when I actually returned it to them during their working hours, and on time.... she could not explain the extra charges and put up a smoke screen. This isn't the first time with this U-Haul outlet. I'll try anyone else at this point, but I won't go to this place (Basin Towing/Durango, CO)!RICHARD F.

I am sure that the owners of this facility have the resources to do some mud mitigation. When I have to go here, I am reminded of a developing country and a Mafia money laundering facility. The least that the underpaid employees can do is to wear masks as is the rule during Covid.LORI G.

When you email a client the location for Pickup, make sure it is the right location. Folks are busy and when already on the road, they dont need to be mislead. When I returned home I planned on dropping the trailer off next door as our property actually borders a Uhaul location. Instead, I get an email to take it to a location 30 minutes in the wrong direction. I feel like I'm getting worked over here. I did learn from the dealer in Peyton that I should have been able to return the trailer to any Uhaul dealer. I worked at a Uhaul as a kid, back then heads would roll over shenanigans like this. It'd be best if you took $50 off my bill.BILLY B.

Convenient location although returning trucks is tricky because of the layout of the site on a storage facility. The mobile check in/out process didn't work properly on the app, had to use the website, but that's not the fault of the location.Maureen P.
The reason for my rating... Got the truck all loaded with no problem, didn't get out of the driveway and noticed a low tire, made it to the gas station to fill it to the recommended air pressure of 32 psi, noticed a bulge, so I let out some air. Didn't make it 15 miles from origination and the tire blew. It took 45 minutes to get a hold of roadside assistance 2 hours later, I was back on the road.Kimberly G.

Central on line booking was a disaster ! Site keeps crashing. No one answered the phones. Personnel at this site helpful and I made a booking on site, but they were unable to cancel my online booking through your chaotic central system.William C.

None; picking up the trailer was easy enough. It occurred to me after I was already on the road that we didn't do a walkaround or a damage inspection before I left, so I could have been blamed for damage that was already there but not documented since there was no inspection. On a different note, one thing you can do to improve the customer experience is actually have the equipment available at the location where the reservation was made. If there wasn't going to be a trailer available in Farmington, NM, then the reservation shouldn't have been allowed. I only found out ONE day before my trip that the nearest U-Haul location that had an auto transport was an hour away in another state.Aaron G.

Jody was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately, one of our two trucks had a tire with a slow leak and only 50% psi so I had to stop every 45 min during our trip through the Utah desert at night to air up. We couldn't go the shortest route over two mountain passes because the truck wasn't safe and then were charged $35 for the additional mileage when we returned the truck.Gregory O.

Jodi was very helpful in working with me and UHaul to have all the contracts for pickup and tow dolly in one place. Equipment was rigged for me when I arrived. However, it had not been checked for safety. All the time I used the tow dolly the dashboard of the pickup told me the left signal blinker was at fault. I tried to replace the bulb but could not because the lens was attached with pop rivets. All day, I could not safely signal a left turn with the dolly, nor utilize the emergency flashers. I would have appreciated equipment checked that these important safety features were in place.Donald G.

I ordered 12 furniture pads--they were not in my truck when I left. Had to go back to get them. My contract said the truck's gas tank was on FULL. When I got in the truck, the gas was as at ONE QUARTER of a tank (with the same mileage on the odometer as the paperwork). That's a huge difference and feel it was an intentional--the odometer was correct, yet the gas was off by three-quarters of a tank? I'm just glad I caught it before leaving the property.Dan T.

Reservation process was a nightmare. I did not get the location or vehicle I reserved. Long, long wait to pick up vehicle. Vehicle suspension was absolutely horrible- every time I went over a bump, the thing bounced all over the place. I didnt feel safe going over 40 mph. Returning was also a nightmare, as there were no instructions, online dropoff didnt work, and when I called uhaul for return instructions, the person I talked to had no clue. Website allowed me to reserve, confirm & check-in to pickup a 12' Utility trailer at this location, but this dealer had to call & cancel it 2 hours later because they â€œneverâ€ have those trailers available. We had to switch to a 12' Catgo trailer which both delayed & inconvenienced us / forced us to change our plans. It can't be that difficult to accurately track specific availability online to prevent this scenario.Anneliese S.
