I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience with U-Haul. I rented a 15' truck for a short 12-mile move and refueled it with $17 worth of gas, ensuring it was returned with more fuel than when I picked it up. Despite uploading pictures of the fuel gauge before and after through their app, U-Haul falsely claimed I returned the truck with an almost empty tank. This is unacceptable, and I feel taken advantage of due to the self-service model lacking a physical person to verify the fuel level. I urge U-Haul to review the uploaded photos and correct their mistake. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to rent from U-Haul again.

MICHAEL GThe key in the lockbox was the wrong key for my truck. This happened once before and I wish this issue would be resolved. It's extremely frustrating to have to take 34 minutes to call U-Haul and get the correct key when it's dark and 44 degrees out side.

Trevor BThe app presented some challenges checking in to pick up the vehicle. It never recognized my location which caused me to check in on a browser on my phone. Once I got to the step to unlock the box to access the vehicle keys I couldn't retrieve the lock code from the app. I had to call to get assistant for the code.

The gas not filled to half tank and u-haul is trying to charge me a $50 fuel fee and I had to put gas in the vehicle in order to drive a short distance round trip. That’s dishonest! I will not use u-haul again. When I called the Capitol Heights office during their business hours no one answered or returned my call and I stopped by that office and it wasn’t open during office hours. (?)
Kimberly MThey were closed during business hours. I was sent back and forth to another location. Where I was told they did not have space. I was told to just drop off the equipment and the gentleman would check it in. I told the guy I didn’t know how to remove. He all most broke the auto transport trying to take it off. I wasted 2 hours and my unloaders left because it took way to long and I was unable to get my truck unloaded. He showed know concern for not having his store open during business hours. Also, he had a puppy there and he left him after he said he had to leave and go to work. He closed again before business hours. It took him almost a hour to remove the auto transport. Over 2 hours wasted.

Renee PI was disappointed that the equipment I requested in my initial quote was not included in the vehicle. The windows need cleaned in the truck and the brakes should also be checked.
Tyjuan JCustomer Service - employee was nice & friendly..He did make a mistake checking me back in ( but quickly fixed mistake) The truck was TOO LOUD, stalled a little, check engine light was on. This truck needs to be serviced ASAP, if anyone else uses it. In order to feel safe.
