The online check-in process was a disaster. After trying to pick up the truck for an hour and 15 min, I was finally informed that I couldn't rent at U-haul without a US ID. I could drive Uhaul with my foreign diver's license, but nor rent it. crazy!NOELLEELIZABETH G.

The uhaul staff in both New York & New Orleans were outstanding. I had never driven a uhaul or any other â€œbigâ€ truck before - the 10 foot uhaul truck drove very nicely and I quickly got used to changing lanes etc on my cross country drive. Thank you so much!!KEERTHI M.

Gas station attendants were extremely Helpful in expediting my van rental when the U-Haul 24/7 Mobile Device Pick-up System was not working and failed to speak with a U-Haul Customer Service Rep after waiting over 30 minutes on the phone. Despite the U-Haul office hours being closed at this location the Gas Station Attendants at the window helped me get my rental! Thank You! You probably saved my marriage! We've now rented from this location twice and will probably do so again because of the great customer service at this gas station. However I'm alarmed that I was not able to speak with U-Haul customer service after spending over 30 minutes on the phone that day when the mobile pickup option malfunctioned. There's really no excuse for company of this size to lack effective 24/7 customer service.John R.
Where do I even begin? For starters, no one in the entire facility was wearing a mask. Not great when we're still very much in the midst of a global pandemic. When I approached the window to pick up my van, I was told there were no vans available and that I was going to get a truck. There was one van available but it had to be returned to the Arminda Service Station as opposed to the Parkslope location, the dropoff location I selected. So I went with the truck. I told the attendant truly five times I had already paid, and when it came time to get the keys he looked at me and said "Will that be cash or credit?" I then said "Again, this is already paid for," to which he responded, "Yes, and you'll be getting a refund.." HUH? It was truly a mindboggling experience and I really do not recommend anyone pick up a uhaul from this location.ANNA-LISE B.

You need to stop promising dollys to your customers. I have used U-Haul twice in NYC and both times requested a dolly that was not available upon pick up of the U-Haul. I had heavy furniture that I was planning to use the dolly for and had to end up paying somebody to help me as I didn't have the dolly to do it alone.Timothy B.
This location abuses the neighborhood by taking up all residential parking spaces within 2 blocks. They park trucks on private business sidewalks. They drive trucks on sidewalks. They're awful people. I work next door at another business. For my rental, when I dropped this truck off on the premises, in a valid parking space on their lot, the attendant refused to accept the key. Then he proceeded to argue about the location where I parked the vehicle. My obligation is to return a vehicle to a location, not to be a valet. If a location cannot provide parking for its vehicles, it should not be allowed so many vehicles.Nathan B.

The phone app is terrible. I had to redo information I had already done online. And then, after only driving one single mile and returning it, the app wanted to charge me for 32 miles! I put in the right info. Someone needs to do some work on it. Without the human person at this location, I would have been grossly overcharged.DIANE H.

I had a reservation for a 15 foot truck, with email confirmation when I got to location to pick up truck it was not available leaving me with a smaller truck, now had to make two trips to new location which is out of state btw. Man oh MAN...so I do party decor...in brooklyn ny. I rented a van to carry small, but alot, of the decor from my place to the event space, that was 4 trips...2.8 miles each way. The younger attendant had a very nasty attitude on the day of rental pick-up, and the way he handed me the key, with the smirk like "I'll get you one way". I was very suspicious. My first time renting a van, I knew I should take video of the van and any mishaps...never did I even THINK to take a pic of the odometer. This dude, some way some how is trying to charge me for 75miles, I MAYBE went 20 miles, I'll pay for 25 even...BUT 50 EXTRA miles...at 1.79 a mile...AND I filled up the gas to where the mark was when I got it...he charged me $25 for gas. This place needs to be shut down. I've tried their corporate office many times to no avail. They come unto my account each week to try and recoup whatever they're saying I owe. Mean time, that price is in dispute. I'm almost ready to rent from them again, take pics of the odometer and gas, and see what happens when I return the vehicle again. I'm not into S and M, but need to get to the bottom of this without paying that extra fee. This place doesn't do justice for the uhaul brand at all!Olivia D.

I was told to come to Linden NJ they have a truck for me. I took cab with my 74 yr old mom. The place cliosed. I had ro rake cab to train statiin after mom tried walking. Train nit working. Toiok cab to NYC rentes there cost me ovee $100 more should have gone to Home DepotRobert A.

The Uhaul was filthy inside. The floor and seats and dashboard were covered in dirt and plaster residue. Looked like melted plastic on the floor and vomit stains. I tried to give it back and the man said he cleaned it fir 2 hours and that was the best he could do. It was disgusting. I used blankets to cover everything. I returned a Uhaul once and got charged because I forget and left a bag in the back and they called it trash. If that's the case the person who rented before me should have been charged for an entire price of a Uhaul van.sheryl R.
The only issue was the employee arrived late for work and people were waiting to pick up their rentals. If people schedule a pick up at the time of opening the employees should arrive at least 15 minutes before opening. Not very professional.Audrey C.
