I had to drive 1 1/2 hrs to pick it up and was supposed to p/u after 2. Planned on picking up around 3-4 but guy called me and told me I had to pick it up by noon or he couldn't guaranty I would get it. Got his call around 9:30 am that morning. Very disappointingScott H.
They harassed me all day calling my phone saying somebody was waiting for the truck. I did my best to return as quick as possible but was accosted by the angry violent manager of Arnold Rental spitting in my face violently cursing at me with no mask on when I returned. Fix the gawd awful online application for a reservation. I am NOT going to take a picture of the front and back of my DL for the privlidge of renting a box truck for 2hrs at a cost of $35. I rent vehicles at airports all over the world and am in and out of the airport in only moments...your application took me 25 minutes to complete (some of the fields I had to populate 5 times before they finally were accepted...and then after having provided my DL #, my credit card # and two different Phone #'s and my home address and finally was told my reservation had, at last, been made...when I got to the rental yard the owner told me I had to go home and get my cell phone and take two pictures of my license and upload those to U-Haul. I wouldn't do that to purchase a truck much less rent one. Trust me this is my last U-Haul experience.MICHAEL M.

Drop off location hours are limited with live personnel. Learned when I received receipt I had been charged an additional $20 which I will be calling U Haul to challenge even thought I had truck in drop of site at 8:00 AM as identified on contract. I find the questions in this survey extremely vague in the overall review of U HAUL experience and sided to the personnel or location of pickup and drop off locations. I did not find the overall experience as helpful as expected and disappointed in the direct follow-up of the rental location change.jim D.

I signed up for the u haul truck at the glory hole/angel camps location and was instructed to pick up my truck at that location. I arrived at 1145hrs., on 08-07-2019, and the door was locked and a note was taped on the door, saying I'll be back at 1315hrs., I waited an hour and a half for the employee. He arrived and told me that I was not on his list to receive a truck. I provided him with my information and told him I came a few day ago and scheduled a truck for today. He then told me U-Haul should have sent you a text the night before, instructing me to go to a different location, to pick up truck. He started making phone calls to local U-Hauls and found the U-Haul truck assigned to me, on the other side of Angels Camp.James M.

conveniently located for our needs, in-store customer service was good. I had trouble with online reservations, the store knew about it, but I was unable to locate the reservation online to revise dates. After paying for insurance, gas, etc, the actual price was substantially above the base $19, but it got the job done.Judy E.

Uhaul approved a one way rental of our truck from Arnold to Angels Camp, prior to our pick up. We were informed of this modified pick up location (angels camp instead of Arnold) via text late the night prior to pick up. Picking it up in angels camp resulted in an unplanned one hour delay in loading the truck. We had to pay our movers this additional one hour pay while they stood idle. While you may have buried in the contract fine print that the admission that the planned pick up location isn't guaranteed, we would suggest that this point be communicated clearly in bold face font, to avoid surprises in the future. Haave the truck blown out for next customer. Also, was told that we could expect a refund since we rented the truck, with insurance, for two days and returned it in one. Apparently after my calling customer service, I was told that this was not the case. No refund was coming.Rona R.
Trailer worked out fine for us. Only downside - no lock on rear trailer door. They were using a screw driver & tape to secure the door. Not a big deal for us since it was overnight at our home, but if in a less secure location might have been an issue. We could certainly have purchased a lock to use if needed.Sara S.

I by far had the worse moving experience I ever had renting a truck from this location. Here's a list of everything bad with my experience... 1) The individual I spoke to at this location constantly complained how much he hated working with Uhaul while he took my original reseveration. I would have immediately hung up and used another location but none of the others near me felt they would have the size truck I needed on the day of my move. 2) I call uhaul to get approx quote on my move. I tell them when and where I'm moving to and how many miles. The rep I spoke to on the phone tells me it will be about $100 up to 30mi then it would be $0.40 every additional mile (my trip was 140mi total). 3) I go to pick up my vehicle the morning of my move before my movers arrive and when I go to pay for the equipment I'm charged $1.09 a mi instead increasing my costs about 50% than what I was quoted. The location says they can't do anything about it and says I have to call uhaul. So I do and after 30min get a rep who literally tells me she can't do anything because "it's above her pay grade" and I have to talk to the location. So now we got he said she said going on... 4) I have movers coming so I pick up the truck as I feel I'm against the wall at this point but I have the location put down I dispute the price on my contract. On my way back I call Uhaul again and actually get a helpful rep who works with me on my problem and transfers me to the traffic dept who after 30 more minutes finds out that my order was incorrectly entered from the location I rented the uhaul from... 5) After getting that settled I check out the truck for the first time and I immediately notice there are small piles of dirt on the floor of the cargo area. I have to then sweep it out myself as I am putting such items as bedding and clothing in my uhaul that I can't afford to get dirty. Then I pull out the loading ramp and it is COVERED in broken sheet rock, tiles, and nails from what obviously was a interior remodel of some building from the prior user of the truck. This location didn't even BOTHER to clean the truck before renting it back out to me. So I also have to clean this as well while I battling the clock as my movers are about to show and are paid hourly. Just pathetically horrid service Uhaul. You've lost my future business as result of this and I've use you for my last 3 moves. I'm using either Penske or some other truck rental company from now on because it's painfully obvious your company is so horrible that your own employees and even your dealers hate working for/with you.Tyler S.

The middle seat should be better. The comfort was a 0. Traveling 600 miles each way was exceptionally painful in that chair. My suggestion would be to up grade the middle seat. Other than that we enjoyed our experience.leannha R.

Extending the usage of the trailer was as easy as giving them a call to let the know we needed to use the trailer for a few more days. Service was great. I highly recommend buying their insurance. It's not cheap, but your covered for any mishaps or accidents. And, it eliminates any hassles with your vehicle insurance.Leon K.
