Owner had no clue of my reservation. The online check-in is extremely un-intuitive. Why do I need to provide so much proof that I am renting a u-haul? Who hurt you U-haul?RONACK T.
There was a problem when I tried to return the rented unit on aug. 7th. the we4bsite wold co-operate and I couldn't get anyone on the phone . Finally got someone the next day and explained all the problems I had . I was told they would look into it > I just got a copy of the final contract and I'm not a happy camper !!! Between Sat. and now someone has put an additional almost 50klm on the van And I'm being charged for it . I wrote the klm down when I left the van at 20051 ! and I even left more fuel in the tank !Stewart L.
I've never rented uhaul before. I was given no guidance how to hook the trailer up. Obviously if I had a trailer I would know and wouldn't need to rent one. A stranger in the parking lot helped. Then upon inspection prior to leaving I was told I did the chains wrong. Which would've been nice to know prior. So some instructions would've been helpful. I had also never seen a square tightening hitch beforeâ€¦vs the lever type. I don't know what the â€œofficialâ€ names of them are. I found that it was a lot less secure feeling vs a lever type hitch, and had to tighten the square with a monkey wrench. The 1-7/8â€ ball was too small and the trailer would slip off when tested in the lot. Thankfully I had a 2â€ ball as well.AMANDAJ R.
The rental truck was fine but this vendor gave the impression that our rental of this truck was an imposition to him. Very unprofessional. When we received the keys we pointed out that there was a car blocking our passage out of the parking spot. This vendor just told us that we should go and tell the store owner next door that they needed to move their car. The other store owner moved it for us but asked that when we returned it we should not return it to that parking spot because it belonged to them. We, the customer. should not be asked to work out parking disagreements with the neighbour. When we returned the truck, a couple hours early, and handed the keys to the vendor we asked to have our bill finalized - we already had bad vibes about this vendor. He refused, said it needed to be processed and just walked away. Will never use this vendor again. Nor will we purchase any goods from his business for that matter.CHARLES M.

Only comment â€¦.. I returned it with more gas in the truck than when I picked it up. I was still charged $20 fuel charge after I already put $20 of gas into the truck to drive maybe 25 km. Anyways just wanted to let you know. Next time I am going to take a picture of the odometer and gas before I leave the place.GEORGEC Z.

Very little interaction with anyone. Person only came out to say â€œback it up and park between the sign and other truckâ€. Not being great at backing up a trailer, I found the situation a bit of a challenge. Finally someone came out to help me guide to a good spot. No help with unhooking the trailer from the hitch. I paid for the rental by debit card and therefore had to pay an extra deposit. I understood I was to recieve it at drop off. The agent said I had to go back to the original spot to get it. I called the original spot and they said they were going to call me back - which did not happen. I drove to the original spot (oakville) to get it sorted. They called the drop off spot and said I would be there within the hour to get my deposit. Upon arrival. His Debit machine was down. I had to wait for an extended period. He then could not find me on file and called someone else (steve). Only to find that my accout was closed and I would be recieving a cheque in 4-6 weeks. I specifically specified this is not what was arranged. The gentlman said it was out of his control. The entire experince was over a week long of giving me no answers and no follow up. very disapointinggreg M.

Owners learn how to use rental system and take less than an hour to pick up, arrived at 12, didn't get ok till 1245 then hook up, then pics of hook up, all because of computer and not knowing rental tool on computer.Kenny S.
The location had lots of garbage at the side of the building. When dropping off there wasn't a set out parking area. I was directed to park along the edge of the parking lot, and wasn't given assistance when the employee asked me to move it further back. I suggested unhooking it and moving it by hand, and was asked to continue to try to back it up. Will not be using this location again due to lack of help and they seemed unsure on what needed to be done to complete the return process.Claire S.

9' cargo van was filthy when we picked it up. There was a dent in the front bumper that wasn't reported before we picked it up. There was also no windshield washer fluid at all. The van also smelled terrible. It smelled like a litter box. I am not a happy customer and i wouldn't recommend anyone renting a Uhaul from Audio Vibe.Stephen C.

Was told truck had an exhaust leak when I picked up the truck but â€œit should be fineâ€. I took the truck as I had to move my entire house and relocate 300km's away and no other 26' trucks were available anywhere in southern Ontario. The exhaust leak was deafening and caused to vehicle to backfire repeatedly when slowing down. The cab of the truck also leaked quite badly when it rained causing water to pool on the dash. I recommend this vehicle be taken in for service before being rented to someone else.STEPHENDONALD C.

I haven't used U-Haul for many years and I think many years ago U-Haul had a bad reputation for mechanical problems with vehicles. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the van was brand new. Keep up the good work and we'll be renting again.KELLYL L.

My biggest issue was that I asked if vehicle was wiped down inside. The gentleman said no. During this challenging covid19 times, I would suggest you should sanitize touch area like steering wheel, arm rests and controls. Other issue was I forgot password and I had difficulties recovering it. Never did get it. I know its my fault I forgot but hard to recover password. That meant delay at store as person had to figure out how to get key out of 25/7 box. There was a plastic piece hanging below bumper. The shroud. Didn't affect operation.Wendy H.

I had a very difficult time checking in. I entered dashes in my driver lic #, not knowing they were to be left out. Waited on hold for almost an hour (I know you're busy, but if there was simple instructions "do not include dashes" on your site, it would have gone much faster. Once I figured it out, it still took 20 minutes. Everything else was fine, thank you.Brian S.

my brother in law was the registered driver of the truck. He does not have data on his phone. He took a pic of the mileage but couldn't send it. I called Audio Vibe this morning and spoke with a man. He had no clue what I was even talking to him about. He was rude and said that they had no records there. Suggested we shouldn't have dropped the truck off there. Said he couldn't find anything in the system. He said that he would have to check into it. I asked if I could leave my number for him to call me back. He said no, you call back in an hour and hung up.DOROTHY M.
the customer service was poor, the guy kept asking us questions but wouldnt be clear about what he was asking. "I need a phone number" ..i'd give him mine. No not yours another one, gave him my husbands, no he's driving it, need a phone number. This is just one example, than at one point he just left didn't tell us where he was going. The truck was dirty. It was by far the sketchiest experience I've ever had. It borderline seemed like he was irritated to be helping us. I arrived for my 10 am pickup. The gentleman was there and the truck was there for 10 am. But there were no keys. He called to whoever worked the day before to get info but nothing. I waited about 90 mins and he finally had keys. We did not walk around the truck to see if all was good as he had no idea when it was used last. I got the truck and returned it within 3 hours. Upon return I handed him the keys expecting to go and look at the truck and fuel and such but nothing. Never left the counter area. This was an extremely disappointing experience with UHaul. I booked the truck roughly 10 days ahead and called the day before to confirm so that I did not have helping people waiting around. Very unprofessional and I will likely not rent again from any UHaul facility.Mike M.

The people who worked in the audio store were fantastic but the quality of the uhaul online system was poor. I had to go to 2 locations and both experienced extreme delays trying to use the computer to get me into the system to get a uhaul. I had to leave the first location on Tollgate because the computer wouldn't even load up and a big line formed so we went to the audio vine store and it still took about 45 minutes.Emilie L.

They were totally unfamiliar with the rental process nor could they answer the basic question of how the mirrors adjusted. I had ordered a dolly, which I never received. When I called back to ask them to remove the charge, they were totally unsure how to do that. In the end I was charged for a dolly I never received.William S.

The only UHaul location I've ever used that didn't come out to help hook up the trailer. He just pointed out the front window and said that's it. Trailer had damaged driver side wheel well with no running light. Old tire, piece of metal and cardboard in the back.Randall H.

The UHaul Machine â€œtriedâ€ to get me to agree to give them an extra $25. The woman at this location called into UHaul & the â€œexcuseâ€ they used was, â€œthe computers have a glitchâ€! It took approximately 1/2 hour for the machine to reflect the correct amount. It feels like UHaul is now into stealing from its customers.Virginia F.
