The pickup process from U-Haul was awful. My pickup location was changed the evening before my rental to 2855 W Harrison Ave in Chicago. That location and the personnel in that location were extremely unprofessional, disorganized and disrespectful. I did not feel safe in that location. And then, after waiting over 15 minutes for service from the ‘manager’ of that location, he told me he could not give me any truck because I had a one way rental. Why did UHaul send me to that location? One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any company. I was eventually assisted by John at 1-800 customer service to arrange for the location where I picked up my truck. The service at that location was good. U-Haul should cancel your affiliation with 2855 W. Harrison location - that experience should not be repeated for any customer.

Ty CIt took over an hour for me to get my rental because the guy kept stopping to take customers inside the convenience store. My reservation was guaranteed at 1pm I should have never left after 2. Also, the guy insisted he had to be the one to hook up the trailer, I got a block away and the trailer came loose off the hitch. I will never recommend this location as it was a nightmare from the start.

Monietta HThe place is horrible!!! After I dropped my U-Haul back off the guy was trying to charge me. I gave him my card and he walked around with it for about 30 mins sitting it on the counter face up with other customers nearby. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT U-HAUL! Not to mention the deposit was $159.29 which has never been a deposit for me at any other U-Haul and he couldn’t even explain why!

The truck only had 1/8th of a tank, i had to fill it up at his gas station, i tried to use my credit card at the pump and it did not work, i went inside and he said, O the pad does not work, and did not give a rip! So I had to go into the store and prepay the fuel, what a pain
