U-Haul - this is directed NOT at the rental pick up location BUT at the company. We had a reservation for Concord, CA. The location was changed to Pittsburg. I'm sure in the fine detail of the reservation it probably mentions that the location CAN AND WILL BE CHANGED. Why not put have a banner for the on-line reservation (in 18pt font size) RESERVATION DETAILS: LOCATION CAN AND WILL BE CHANGED If it wasn't for a stroke of luck this change of location could (would) have torpedoed plans to leave the Bay Area at a certain time - even extending a one day trip into two (added expense of accommodation/meals). Just as long as corporate U-Haul is doing just fine, f the customer and their NEEDS (not WANTS, needs ... )

Phoulinthone kThe guy that was working there made me wait around 2 hours because he didn’t wanted to double check if the dolly i reserved with a truck was still available, all the truck was dusty and i mean the interior, no gas or any other help, i had to run cause he said i had to pay just a little part of the total, then made me go again to the bank cause i had to pay the total, that’s all fine it’s just that i used a bank account that I don’t usually use so i had to go to deposit twice. I had absolutely no gas when picked the truck and dolly up, the guy even asked my mom for her phone number 😭, a lot of things and the same truck has a sign that says they give you $35 off when you clean the truck and we cleaned it, they charge us the gas when they said they wouldn’t

Virginia GI checked the hours on the website and it showed this place was open on Sundays so I requested a live pickup and not using the App. I pulled up to find a few customers trying to get into a closed shop and none of us were told it was closed. None of us ever used the app and preferred a live person.. I didnt get my truck until almost NOON and I had a 10am pickup. Also, the truck was dirty and it did not have the dolly i requested. Last but not least - It had a quarter tank of gas left! I ended up overpaying by a considerable amount trying to refill the truck at the exact level I received it. THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!

Micko POverall disappointed and not happy. I made reservations more than a week ago for a one way truck to pick up in Concord and drop off in Oakland. I wanted to rent 12 moving blankets. I get a call 24 hour before moving day saying I now have to drive to Pittsburg and they cant do one way so I have to drive all the way back to Pittsburg (from Oakland) and now have to pay $1.39 per miles (so an extra 35 miles to come all the way back, plus 1.5 hours in time and gas). Then when we get there, they have no blankets available as requested. Truck had 1/4 tank of gas which would not get us to where we needed to go without stopping to fill it up. The price on my email said $75.81 due at time of pick up but now they charged me $122. Said insurance was $30 per day, where on line it said $15 per day, so just seems like the price was not what I was told when I first booked it. What is the point of making a reservation a week ahead of time only to not have that reservation honored? It was unacceptable to change my reservation from one way to round trip. I would NOT recommend uhaul or use it for future moves based on this poor experience. Also it was advertised that I could pick it up before hours with the mobile app and when I tried noting happened, there was no instructions on how to check out the car without an employee present.

Victor EThe inside needs to be cleaned. The vehicle body was damaged, The right bottom flat mirror glass was broke, the oil light comes on but oil was topped off. The Guy who checked me in was great. Very respectful. The fleet wasn’t cool.

alicia hI was told that the tank in the Truck was less than 1/4 tank. But when I took off, the gas tank was low with light on. There should be a requirement that the trucks be at minimum 1/4 tank of gas.
Nevin NThe Uhaul was dusty on the outside and sticky on the inside for some reason, i felt like I needed to wrap everything just to make sure it doesn't touch the walls or floor since someone's underwear was left in the back before I rented it

JULIA LI would not recommend it because their hours are not correct. Unless you could guarantee your mobile app works then get it there.

Omar RThere was a hole in the gas tank from someone puncturing the tank recently. I put $11 of gas in it and saw the tank leaking at the gas station. I returned the truck and they gave me a new one. I asked for a price adjustment of $11 for lost gas but U-Haul has not contacted me yet. You can see in my file that a new truck was issued to me. I will say that it was not the staff’s fault and they all were very nice and helpful and understanding.

torrey fThe trucks are great! But what you need to improve is the 2 employees who who “ help me” Sunday 4th my reservation was at 9 am . Was 1 guy who claimed to be a “nephew “ and his “uncle “ was the main guy who was suppose to open . He arrive late, 9:20 smelling like alcohol and RUDE!

JAMES VI had not rented a u-haul in 25 years and was totally un aware of the self self checkout system u-haul uses now.. The person who answered the local business number for this location sounded frustrated that I called to find out why the shop was closed when the website said it was open and that I needed assistance with the app when he told me it was self check out. If I wasn’t pressed for time I would have went to another location or used another vendor that has a manned office like the old u-haul location.
