The personal did not make sure the trailer was attached to my truck properly. Thank God we were parked because it could have been a bad situation. Once we loaded one piece of furniture on the trailer it popped of the hitch. We had to call roadside assistance and he noticed the connection was incorrect. Have the truck on hand that you reserved and guaranteed! I reserved a 26' truck well in advance but all they had on hand was a 15', totally inadequate to move a 4 bedroom house full of furniture. It was not the fault of the location, she tried to locate a 26' truck but was unsuccessful, someone at your company failed to allocate the truck and see that it was there. My move was totally mishandled by U Haul, and as a result we had to struggle and it took longer than it should However, I must commend your company manager, Scott Nelson. I submitted for the $50 refund promised for failure to provide the guaranteed equipment, never really expecting any results.. I received a call the same day from Mr. Nelson, apologizing for the failure, and crediting me for the additional mileage incurred also. A bad experience was turned into restoring my faith in big business, real customer service from your manager. Thank you Mr. Nelson!Ernest G.

I was charged $14 for safe move coverage that I had no selected to add to my charges. I had opted for no additional coverage when I made the reservation online. I would like to be refunded for this charge. Otherwise everything went perfectly smoothly. Thank you, Vicky JohnsonVicky J.

We scheduled our pickup for 9am when the location opened. No one authorized to give us our UHaul showed up until 10:30. We only had that one Saturday to move so losing an hour and a half was a big deal. Further, our card was charged the incorrect amount. We were charged for a 26 ft truck vs the 15 we reserved. UHaul called us the day before saying there was not a 15 available and we could have the 26 for the same price. I agreed, but then we were still charged for the 26. We didn't need the extra space. We were also charged for insurance in both the truck and the car dolly, both of which we specifically declined in the reservation. I have email UHaul customer service asking for a refund for the difference and have not heard back yet.Frances F.

I was there for over an hour. There was absolutely zero customer service, the lady helping me had no idea how to accomplish the work necessary to rent to me. I actually rented prior to arrival, but the truck wasn't there. I found out that this lady had only accomplished one other Uhaul rental. There were two other ladies in the office with much experience, but neither one offered to help.ROGER F.

I originally booked at the location in Robertsdale, the morning I was to get trailer I got a text & email stating new pick up location. Which I think is eying. I choose the original location for it's location. Go to new pickup point off Baldwin Beach Express, which is 36 minutes drive to find out they are CLOSED, so now I call and they book me at a Loxley location which was nice and the lady was great. But this meant I then had to drive 20 minutes opposite sides of town. Also when I called the uhaul place as the online form wasn't working I spoke with a lady named Monica, she was so rude and short kept interrupting me and got sassy, I wanted to speak with manger she hung up, called back i she said he'd call me back, never did! I called again and he was busy and Monica said she'd take compliantâ€¦ really why would the person I'm complaining about take good notes.. while experience was a total joke!Amy C.

Drove 27 miles from Gulf Shores for 2:00 Pm Appt. Girl would let me in office because covid. Didnot even know about reservation due at this time at this small location. Did resolve problem and got away a little after 2. Return at 6 as 19.95 was to 2 to 2 they said no to that. So 19.95 rental for 4 hours was 87.34 #25746465 What a deal..........RONALD P.

I reserved a 15ft uhaul via the internet after calling the location directly (they directed me to the website). I then placed the reservation and Arrived at the location to be told they did not have a 15ft uhaul available for rent (there was at least one vehicle that fit that description in the parking lot). I explained that I had a reservation and did not understand how I was allowed to make a reservation if the vehicle wasn't available for that time frame. I was told that the vehicle in the parking lot was that branches â€œrotation vehicleâ€and was only available for 6-8 hours and that was â€œtheir local rulesâ€. They stated they had a 26 ft uhaul (brand new and in great shape) available for rent. I asked if they would honor the pricing for my existing reservation and was told no that I would have to cancel that reservation ( that they instructed me to make via the website) and make a reservation with them directly. During my reservation process I was asked if it would be one way rental and I stated no, I then inquired if I could make it a one way rental (since they asked me if it was) and was told no that doing so â€œwould leave them short on trucksâ€ (if this wasn't an option, why ask?) Lastly, I turned in this vehicle to a representative of the branch at approxmately 1730 on 4/5/21 and did not receive turn in credit until 0745 on 4/6/21. Overall the vehicle was 5 stars, customer service 1 star. I am very dissatisfied with this whole process and will not be using uhaul in the future.AARON C.

After i bought back the trailer i rented i got a phone call saying the trailer was damage i have a video of the trailer setting on the lot after i bought it back a detailed video there was nothing wrong with this trailer whatsoever i always take videos for this reason,they also took $600 from my bank but the next day they put it back in the bank that was very stressful i wont use them againRicky K.

Vehicle wasparked in a tree so that the tree limbs scrape the whole side of the vehicles I went to pull out the windshield is cracked right across the driver's view dirty has been swept out as a former agent I was it was a disgrace to know that they would leave them like that and this is the one that they've used for a 20 local runs onlyI was to pick it up here but in your guys to eat steamed stupidity you changed it from loxley to Spanish fort to another location while I'm sitting there knowing I'm supposed to be at automatic and in reality I was supposed to be in Spanish fort Alabama to pick up the vehicle 15-20 miles away which then I would have had to pay extra for driving from point a to point b back to see what it cost me an extra $20 just on that or $30Timothy B.

This location is new. T and L did everything they could to get me the rental that I reserved. Local/Regional Mgr not available to help in the process. They were very helpful. As far as the actual equipment, I am concerned that U-haul allow tires with as little tread on them as my trailer had on it. This is not a reflection of this location.
