The van had a check oil light on, and the fuel tank was overflowing when I went to fill it, although when I then went to look at the fuel gauge it was not showing as full. All that said, the location is conveinently located.MARCELLAHILDA B.

Our pick up location changed to two different locations 15 miles away one location to pick up truck and another for the car lift, we were not given any help at all on how to hook up the car lift, no car pre-trip inspection was done at all they were absolutely no help at all. We ordered a hand truck which was not given to us. I would NOT recommend U-Haul to anyone. NOT A NICE EXPERIENCERaymond H.

This location for pickup was perfect, only about 30 minutes from our home. George, owner of Automar was so so helpful with the process getting us set up, etc. He explained everything to us, very pleasant and knowledgeable as well. We would highly recommend this location for future rentals for us and anyone else.joan K.
I was told when we picked up the truck the blankets were in the back.. I received 12 smelly wet blankets not in bags.... thrown in the back of the truck..... When I got home... i realized they were wet and smelly and drove back to AutoMar to tell them I could not use them... They could only give us 9 dry/damp ones again not in bags... I did not want the other 3 smelly wet blankets. I did not know that this would be a problem when truck was returned.. Automar told me to call as UHaul is difficult to deal with. A better explanation of what I was being charged for you have been appreciated. I was quoted a price when I booked the rental reservation and charged a higher price. When asked for the difference, I was given no answer. I should have read what I signed closer as it appears something extra was added, so I am partially at fault.Mylo E.

The furniture blankets (that I paid extra for) were stored in a back shed and they were wet, mildewed, moldy, dirty and smelly. A few even had bird poop on them and I couldn't even use them. The truck and dollys were fine though.Everett T.

I just want to say thank you to this location. I was supposed to rent a uhaul from the location in Mohegan Lake behind the town center but they cancelled my reservation without telling me on the day that I was supposed to pick it up WAY before my scheduled time. Plain and simple don't use this place anymore. First of all it's rude to make me a customer wait then come up to a customer with a cigarette in your mouth. Did not know how much the bill was then charges me 150.00, he didn't even go outside to inspect the truck. I had to go to the back of muddy parking lot to pick up the truck.CHRISTINE M.

Please make sure customers know about the "tow" mode for getting power on hills, (maybe a sticker on the dashboard?) since that would have helped us, but we had no idea until afterwards that it existed. Thanks!Robin M.

Gentlemen was courteous but indifferent. Didn't offer to walk around the truck with me to inspect. Had me sign before had his associate bring truck upfront. The Uhaul drop-off location in Cold Spring, NY was very convenient---close to the highway and 9S is a major road. The people there were very helpful--they helped me take off the trailer and even parked it for me, but i don't think it was obvious that it was a Uhaul drop-off unless you learned about it online. Sure, the office wasn't clean and was a bit unkept, but it still functioned as a drop-off. I would still recommend it nonetheless.HEATHER D.
I had to initial that the cab was clean. I wasn't told what that was for just to initial. When I returned the truck to woodside I was told I'd have to pay for cleaning. They finally did waive the charge when I explained that this was the way I accepted the truck. They showed me where I initialed the green ticket in acknowledgement of a clean cab, but said that the people in Cold Spring probably didn't explain the purpose of initialing, which was true.Doug S.
I have dropped off trucks at this location several times. Though it is dark and desolate, the drop box is secure and I always receive confirmation of my drop-off very soon afterwards. As it is a drop box with no personnel, take a video of your equipment to document condition.AMANDA S.

Very helpful Note: A problem with U-Haul overall is that their key drop boxes say to include the key and a copy of the contract. I only got one copy thus dropped it in the slot thus leaving me no copy. AutoMart said that they didn't really need a copy of the contract. The drop box wording needs to be changed to avoid client confusion.Barry K.

This location had very little to do with U-Haul, mostly a used auto parts and garage. I had to find the transporter myself, was surprised at its size as I was expecting the smaller two wheeled auto trailer. However, the owner quickly had someone help me back in and attach the tow and was generous with his time in doing the contract. He was quite frustrated with his interactions with the computer program. The location was quite a distance away from my preferred pick up point and I used a quarter of a tank of fuel getting there and back.MARIANNE M.
