Be more flexible with additional items and rates. Such as my vehicle has a 7 prong connection and the trailer was a 4 prong. I had to buy an adapter plug for the trailer.

I had ordered a hand truck as part of my rental but they ran out of hand trucks so I had to improvise and get one on my own. This cut into my rental time. Luckily guy at AutoPilot easily removed it from my reservation but I was disappointed that no hand truck was included and no one told me that there was none.

The inside of the windshield was very dirty and we had difficulty seeing out of the window to drive. We cleaned it before returning the truck. But perhaps that can be checked in the future.

It was not until I got the trailer loaded at home that I noticed one of the tires was low. On my way out of town. I tried to fill it at a gas station, but either something was wrong with the tire or with all of the weight in there it couldn't do it. It got me to my destinations fine, but it caused some anxiety. Not sure if there's a way those tires can be checked each time they come in to make sure they're fully inflated. That was my only complaint about the whole process. employees that I talked with were extremely friendly and professional.

Fix the shocks and balance on your trucks and make sure the windshield wipers are maintained. Additionally, have the correct equipment at the first location that I was told to visit instead of forcing me to contact three separate locations to find the equipment I reserved in The first place.

The truck was in perfect condition and customer service was A+. But showing availability on equipment rental could use a little improvement, I rented an appliance dolly which ended up not being available when showed up to location. It wasn't a deal breaker but it would be nice to only show what's Available at each location.

I wish I had known there were brooms and stuff on the side. I didn't realize I could have used those. It was hard trying to get through all the pick up stuff ; it seemed like it would never end. It was a bit frustrating. The parking lot was full of pot holes which made it difficult to drive on. The cab smelled and had somebody else's water bottles in it. The parking lot was dark for my return which made it difficult to back up and see clearly.

The man I spoke to you to get my keys was extremely rude. From the minute I walked in the door. He wouldn't give me clear directions on where to park my car and didn't even tell me which U-Haul truck was mine. I had to try my key in three different ignitions just to see which truck was mine. I would never use this location again, and I will tell everyone I know not to as well. There's like seven different businesses being run off the same property and it's extremely confusing. The truck was very old and not very well-maintained. Definitely rent from somewhere else!!!

I was doing a mobile pickup at 8:30am since the store didn't open until 9. I went through the mobile process but I couldn't finish the process because they wouldn't accept that I was who I said I was. I tried to give my wife's phone number and they wouldn't accept that. So I had to be outside in below freezing temperature for half an hour before somebody showed up who could help me.

I was having trouble with the U-Haul web site - it wouldn't allow me to log in, and was hard to navigate - it needs to be more user friendly... the people at Auto Pilot told me they would take care of the check in on line for me without charge since they knew i was trying to do it myself - THEY WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL !!!

Participated in "Loadshare" program... picked up a UBox trailer in Castle Rock, CO to transport to Atlanta, GA. Trailer tires were old and out of date... had dry rot cracks in both, one of them blew in Clayton, NM... and UHaul's "roadside assistance" is the WORST in the industry. 6 hours to get someone out to change a go-card-sized tire. The UHaul tech who put the trailer on the truck "forgot" to tighten down the safety nut... hit a bump in the panhandle of Oklahoma, and the trailer came off the hitch, and almost killed me. Managed to keep control, and get it to the side of the road and stopped (thank God for safety chains), but it was another 6 hours before help arrived. UHaul is *THE* worst at maintaining their equipment, and in training their people. It almost cost me my life.

I feel like we got charged $15 more than we should have because they just assumed we wanted the insurance and didn't ask me about it. They told my husband that we ordered it when he went to pick up the truck but I did not.

I can't think of anything to suggest for improvement for customer service. Inventory was a little light for blankets, [small] boxes, or for packing tape, etc. but the agent was knowledgeable and facilitated replacements, etc.

Dedicate more dev resources to improve the U-Haul mobile application. The app is dismal at best and not very reliable. I used the "self-checkout" process to both pick up and drop off the rental vehicle. Even with a full 5G cellular connection, the app stalled multiple times during the pick up and drop off process, resulting in my having to start the process over several times. Concerning especially if I was in a more remote area after hours when no local U-haul attendant is available to assist. The U-haul rep at this location that helped me with the pick up was very professional, courteous, and helpful. Would definitely go back and have a human assist rather than use the pathetic mobile application.

There was a safe key of some sort left in one of the cup holders. No big deal, I left it in there just in case the last person that rented it, realized it was missing. I was sent a few different addresses and got confused as to which one was the actual pick up point.

They charged my card for an extra day when I already paid for it. When I talked to corporate, they changed it to give me one free dsy for my many troubles in renting a 26 foot truck. But I didn't get that free day - got charged an extra day, three instead of two days that I wanted when the free day would have meant I only got charged for one day!!! Plus we left more gasoline in the truck than required. This is the 49th time I've rented a U-Haul. Never in any state (including this state, Utah) have I had as many problems. After days of waiting to see if we had a truck or not, I called U-Haul Traffic Division. They need some training on customer service. All that she did was cancel my order and made another one exactly the same. When someone is moving they do not want to be on the phone for an hour for nothing. Then we wait again. Not knowing if we can get a truck. The first customer service person said to wait for a call from U-Haul and to call them the day before. It was two days before my reservation and I called. It is insane to wait, not knowing until the day before. They said the truck would arrive at my pick-up place on Friday for us on Saturday. Now all we had to worry about was someone coming into the store and taking it! U-Haul is “first come first serve” now apparently! When we get to the store on Saturday, the truck was there! But there is no WiFi in the store and my son went outside to jump through all the hoops, taking pictures of his drivers license front and back and some other maneuvers that timed out four times and he had to start over each time. Please provide WiFi in your stores. We then had to not damage on the truck. We took pictures of every part of the truck. There were numerous places damaged. We finally got on the road after paying (not holding) for the truck, some insurance for $28, an extra day for $40, an appliance dolly, and taxes! Upon returning it early on the second day, we were charged without discussing it with us as it was a holiday for ANOTHER day which we did not ask for or use. Plus $14 for some insurance. When I called to complain, the automated voice said I had to wait 40 minutes to talk to someone. I will call everyday until I reach someone. I will never rent a U-Haul truck again - I'll buy a truck first!

The truck ramp didn't work at all. The 1st step upon return was to deposit the key and then take pictures of the fuel gauge, odometer, interior but how is that possible if the trucks already locked and I deposited the key?
