James LThe staff were friendly but not very organized or just not really sure of what they were doing. We were initially told we would be charged more for every mile we traveled over a certain amount, but this was for a trailer (not a truck). I pointed out that's not at all what the contract/info/reservation says and that even if that were true, trailers don't have odometers so they'd have no way of knowing how far the trailer had traveled. The person initially argued with me that this was standard, then the owner--who seemed to know his stuff but came in late in the conversation--said we'd be charged more if we didn't drop it off at the place we were supposed to (which wasn't the issue at all). In the end, it worked out fine and the original staffer said they were confused, but it still wasn't good that the initial response was to argue and double down on the error. So, yes I'd use them again, but I'd encourage others to stay on their toes, confirm and REconfirm the info to make sure it's right.
James PThe staff were friendly and helpful. The equipment was just fine. However, this location seemed either disorganized or not clear on how to use the UHaul system. After making and confirming our reservation, then picking up the trailer, we received six emails "confirming" our drop-off location, but the drop off location had changed back to where we picked up the trailer instead of where we originally had set it up. None of the e-mails had a local phone number we could call, so we had to find the locations number and call (and hope someone was still on duty--different time zone at this point). In the end we were fine still dropping it off at the place we had originally agreed to, but this made for a lot of confusion and frustration that didn't need to be there. The national number told me that the local location had messed things up in how they entered their info but that our original agreement still stood.

David AWhen I first called to reserve the trailer I had issues. When calling back to correct the issues agent Ruth and the scheduling agent ( sorry forget his name) but sure your records will address his name. Both addressed addressed the issues and corrected them instantly. If I could give them 5 stars out of 5 I would.

Tiara SThe door needs some WD40, but otherwise the trailer was good. Had to spend the extra money on a hitch because the ones we had didn't fit the trailer. This location does not allow you to leave the trailer at another UHaul location unless you pay an additional charge. If I had known before making the reservation, I would have found a different location to rent from. The workers were nice and helpful
Tessa WThis is always a busy place. A person coming here may need to allow more time than expected but that is a common experience in Porter County, Indiana. I really appreciate how hard they work to accomodate what I need.
Patricia SI was informed that the truck had 7/8 tank of gas. Once I first got into the truck I took a picture of the gas gauge and it was 3/4. I drove exactly 10 miles and put $10 of gas in which put it above the amount I received it with and still was charged for gas although I returned it with more than I received it with

Christopher GI got the U-Haul on the first day of the year January 1. He opened up when everybody else was closed to get me a trailer to move my stuff down to Texas. Would recommend this site for pick up.

LYNN SDo not double book. If your renting a trailer out it should be at location for pickup. Bbu superlube in Valparasio goes above and behond for there customers. Initially scheduled online and received a call stating trailer was in Merrillville a hr from my house. Took half a day off work to get trailer only to find out that it was not there and I received a phone call from a uhaul rep to drive a hr out of my way, so 2 hrs out of my way for it not to be there. I’ll never book online again. I will always go straight to BBU superlube
Tim TI was charged to return the truck and was not told in advance. this is deception and i will not utilize location or U-Haul again. $25.00 fee to return a vehicle is absurd!

LAURA SConvenient location but not a lot of instructions. Gravel parking lot with no designated parking spaces so was a bit confusing where to park and lock box was not the most secure looking. But again, a very convenient location.
