TERRY CHESLOCKThe trunk was on empty when I received it, I was not booked the correct truck and for Ed to get one much larger than needed as it was all was available as they booked me a mini van instead of an actually box truck as I requested. I was changed twice.... and over changed around 500$! I moved down the street from where I live before and the street is 1.5 km from the haul location... I brought the truck back 3 hours early and with a quarter tank even though it was on empty when I received it.... absolutely got scammed... was supposed to cost 39.99 plus. 88cent a km.... so shouldn't of cost more than 50$... yet I was cha ged twice! And it came to 530$ with both charges combined. Worst company ever.

dennis myersThe staff member at Bait Casters was great! Super friendly and helpful. The only reason for a 4-star instead of 5 was that the 10-ft truck I rented made a high-pitched whistling/whining noise. It probably isn't a safety issue, but was quite annoying.

Suzanne M DeschenesI give it 4 stars because I specifically told the attendant not to charge me for the coverage because my insurance covers the truck. The mistake was fix the next day by the lady at the facility although I think it's checked by default by U-Haul and practically impossible to remove (I call that a scam to make money from U-Haul) but it was fix upon return thus the fact that I'm giving it 4 stars. As for the place the attendants the service was fine and they are nice to deal with. There will probably be another time and this time I will make sure the insurance are removed, and as every moving commercial truck the cleaniness of the truck was so so I've seen a LOT worst pigsty in the name of Budget. Despite the fact that U-Haul tries to stiff people with insurance when their own personal covers it, I would recommand the place for the attendants friendliness.

Katherine PaquetteI am just so confused I literally completed a whole process online to rent this truck, provided pictures of my ID and gave my credit card. Yet when I got to the pick up location I had to do it over again. This was so confusing. Should I not have been able to just prove who I was and get the keys? The gentleman was lovely and kind but in a previous rental I did the same thing and just picked up the keys and left. Why so different?

Paul MasseyThe location was great, but I have feedback for the mobile pick-up process for U-Haul: I was told ahead of time that I would need a smartphone with data connection (makes sense), but then during the process I ALSO needed further verifications that I wasn't told about ahead of time. Luckily I had someone available who could be called to verify me, but I would much rather have brought my passport if only I'd been told ahead of time.

Martin GougeonI hate the fact you charge in miles and not km, makes it difficult to understand why the variance is so much higher than expected. Mileage charge is way to high no matter whether its miles or kms. it used to be a good deal now not really
Kate vallilleeAlthough Crystal (the Owner) has been superbly helpful in the midst of a difficult rental process, it remains that I would not be able to trust my next rental to Bait Casters. I arrived at 9:00am, the time when an employee of Bait Casters was supposed to open the store and I was scheduled to pickup my rented cargo van. By 9:30am no employee had yet showed up and a few clients that had been waiting with me decided to go elsewhere. As I was about to also leave after a few phone calls to U-Haul, the kind owner (Crystal) showed up to take over what the no-show employee was supposed to do. Crystal very efficiently took over my Van rental and I was on my way close to 10:00am. Unfortunately Bait Casters did not have a good inventory of rental vehicles on site (3 in total). I cannot imagine risking a similar stressful experience for my next truck rental. Missing my early departure unfortunately altered the course of the day's planning with elevators, moving, etc. The only very positive experience was the Crystal, who was SUPER GREAT to make it up for us in the midst of her having to leave her work place to attend to Bait Casters in the absence of her employee. I regret that I cannot offer a better review under the circumstances.

No compensation or discount on next reservation offered, not even the "your reservation is guaranteed or we'll give you $50" so-called guarantee. A RESERVATION mean my truck is RESERVED for me, for the time agreed to, NOT you get to change it at will. Too late to find a truck somewhere else, I reserved a trailer.... and it didn't show up, so I was forced to settle for an expensive one-way trailer rental.... No compensation or discount on next reservation offered, not even the "your reservation is guaranteed or we'll give you $50" so-called guarantee.

Priscilla LevesqueUhaul is expensive for what I needed it for, but the job got done. The truck size was too big for the trailer, a pickup truck with a trailer is better. Also, there should be an option to have a rate fro a pickup with trailer combo as well.

PAUL KEHOEE-check in wasn’t working properly, so I had to check in at the counter. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Truck was dirty with some damage on the passenger side panel - but still functioning as intended and easy to operate. Online extensions were easy to set up. Final bill had an unjustified surcharge for fuel; manager responded to the complaint promptly and removed the charge.
