I paid the $15 insurance and your agent is ILLEGALLY AND FRAUDULENTLY TRYING TO EXTORT AN EXTRA $150 USD for a tiny piece of plastic that fell off when another motorist’s wobbly trailer hitch dinged the rear bumper as they angrily sped around me because i was going the speed limit and they were impatient. THE MOTORIST SPED OFF, i pulled over to look at the van, i saw the 5” piece of plastic in the road and dodged traffic to retrieve it. I explained what happened and i read the UHaul policy. THE EXTREMELY MINIMAL DAMAGE IS COVERED BY THE $15 INSURANCE POLICY AND YOUR AGENT IS DEMANDING I PAY AN ADDITIONAL $150 for damages, but THE EXTREMELY MINOR INCONVENIENCE OF REATTACHING A SMALL PIECE OF PLASTIC IS NOT $150 AND THE UHAUL CONTRACT COVERS IT. This is a SMALL BUSINESS run by a greedy fraudulent asshole. I AM EXTREMELY LITIGIOUS and i absolutely will take legal action. Not only will i file a civil suit but i will contact local news, social media platforms, i already contacted police, and i absolutely WILL MAKE SURE NOBODY I KNOW USES UHAUL and will rent vans & trucks from Home Depot and Lowes in the future

While the staff at this location were friendly, professional, and helpful, the overall experience did not meet my expectations for a U-Haul facility. After being contacted and asked to change my pickup location, I expected this location to be fully stocked with the moving supplies I needed. Unfortunately, the facility was very small and had limited inventory. For example, I specifically needed wardrobe boxes, but none were available. While they carried furniture covers and a few other moving supplies, they did not have the variety of boxes I would typically expect from a U-Haul location. As a result, I had to make an additional trip to another U-Haul facility in Northridge to purchase the boxes I needed, which added time and inconvenience to my moving day. In addition, the truck’s tires were low on air and had to be filled before I could leave the Northridge location, causing another delay. The Balboa staff did their best to assist and provided good customer service, which I appreciated. However, the lack of inventory and equipment readiness made the overall experience less convenient than expected.
