When I called the location to verify pick up after receiving a text from uhaul that said â€œcall to verify,â€ the owner said that they were going on vacation and I couldn't pick it up til next week. I explained that I booked the reservation three weeks ago and we planned to pick it up at 9. He said â€œfine, we'll see you at 9.â€ I called them around 8:45am when we were on our way and no one picked up. I kept calling back until someone finally answered and said we were on our way. They said ok. We got there and the location was locked up with a padlock and no one was there. We call back again to see what is happening and again, no answer. I continued to call since we had people waiting to help us move at our storage unit. They finally answered at 9:30 (30 minutes after scheduled pick up time) and said they were 2 minutes away. When the owners showed up- we got no apology for them being late. The truck was dirty in both the front and back cabin. Staples on the floor, mud, stuff that could be swept away quickly by the owners if they tried. Definitely DO NOT go here to rent your uhaul.KATHRYN M.

The vehicle was extremely dirty. Had to clean from out of pocket. The operators are not basically knowledgeable about the workings of U-Haul. But the most crucial thing is the cleanliness of the vehicle. It's a solid truck but not well cared for.MIRJAM V.

The entire process from UHaul was terrible. I asked for a specific pick up location and the day prior to pick up I was given another pick up location. Then on the day of pick up a was given a third pick up location (Teds Liquors) and when I got there I was told there was no truck for me to pick up. We were billed for an extra day because the agent did not clock us in as dropping it off at the correct time. Said he would handle it later. Should have known. The inconvenience of asking for a refund was not a hassle, Uhaul refunded if to us, but if I didn't check, I would have been charged. It was very difficult to get the rental from this retailer. Once we got the truck, we saw there was a pile of dirt in the truck. Luckily, at my apartment I had a broom because we had to fully sweep the truck before putting my items inside. Not clean at all.Paul K.

Upon arrival and providing proof of a reservation and the email showing assignment of my reservation to this location, the clerk continually insisted he did not have a 15' truck for me even though it was obviously on the lot and continually tried to give me a 10' truck and insisted they were almost the same size. This was the third location we went to after the first location (Basher and Sons) closed two hours before our scheduled pick up time. It took us two hours of driving around before we arrived at Teds Liquors. Then 45 minutes of the proprietor on the phone with uhaul customer service before we finally left with a truck.Chad S.

Have lock boxes placed at location. No pickup instructions were emailed prior to pickup. The customer service representative did not notify me that the keys were inside of the truck until all the steps were processed which I was unaware. Also, I was unable to pick the drop off location after order which is very misleading, and caused me to return the truck at pickup location adding over $100 to my rental. Horrible experience. When I picked up the equipment the fuel amount in the contract was wrong. I disputed it on my phone and uploaded a photo. When I dropped it off, they claimed to have no record of this, and charged me for the extra gas. They were absolutely not helpful at all, and made no attempt to try to help me out. Overall this was a horrible experience, and I had to jump through hoops just to get my money back. Terrible customer service. I'll think twice before renting with uhaul again.Andrew D.

I was charged for mileage over 99 miles. The concept that any rates were mileage based were not clearly expressed anywhere during the reservation process or the pickup process, meaning; I was surprised to learn there was a mileage limitation/stipulation. My understanding was there was a time based limitation/stipulation. The mileage concept needs to be far more clear during reservation to avoid confusion. The agent and the facility were excellent, again, the U-Haul check-in and reservation process complicated matters greatly.Steve L.

When I went to pick up my 15 foot truck they told me that truck wasn't returned yet and they only had a 20foot truck. First of all, when I called to reserve the truck I told the girl I wanted it at a certain location. Without telling me she sent it to Teds liquor store because the location I wanted didn't have what I was looking for. It would have been nice to know it was going to a different location. I only found out because I checked my slip in my email. Then I go to pick up the truck and he tells me â€œoh we only have a 20 foot because the last person didn't return the truck yetâ€. So I asked him to charge me for the 15 foot truck but me use the 20 foot truck since it's not my fault they only had one 15 foot truck and that it's not back. He told me they were going to have to send me to another location. Moving is stressful enough. Then U-Haul did nothing but stress me out more. I feel like I shouldn't have had to pay for the 20 foot truck since I reserved a 15. We should be fair. It wasn't my fault the last person couldn't return their truck on time. Hopefully I won't have to use U-Haul again for awhile because it was stressful on top of a down pour rainy day. The man at Teds Liquor was very nice but I'm not running all over the place for a truck that should have been at the location I was told to go too by the people at U-Haul. The equipment, especially furniture pads were infested with ants. The pickup location was dirty and the one guy was very rude. Customer service lacking and it is highly evident. Liquor store clerks seem not to know what they are doing and have to constantly phone a friend for help. They talk in another language and then start laughing at you. Ive rented uhaul trucks at different locations but so far this place is abominable. The people who come in to buy liquor are hardcore alcoholics who show acute signs of alcohol withdrawal. You just don't feel safe. In sum this location and the liquor store clerks who run it are unable to render the services you are paying for on a professional level. When I went to pick the truck up, I was about to just say forget it because the people did not know how to do it and gave me a hard time. The equipment is filthy.Jessica M.
