I was apprehensive, due to all the bad reviews concerning this location. However, all went smoothly and the young man behind the counter obviously knew what he was doing. The only "small" issues were the fuel gauge was below what was indicated on the contract and van was not clean.

It was an awful experience. I was blamed fir damage that clearly was there before. I was mis treated by the lady dealing with me, she would not talk in English when speaking with her manager so I could not understand what she was saying about me. She was rude I will never go there again and will be posting videos on social media

Upon drop off, per the contract, I was informed that they do not receive 15' trucks. Not my problem and not the locations fault. A Uhaul district representative talked to the clerk and I spoke to them as well. The Uhaul rep asked me to move the truck to a different location. Again not my problem but tried to insist. I told them they'd have to pay me to move it for them and Uber me back for I am not employed by Uhaul and not liable for their mistakes. Again, this is in no way the fault of this location.

Says they require masks when entering store but the staff don't even wear them. They took my credit card and held it for a good 10 minutes, god knows what they did with it. My pickup was delayed by 20 minutes because of their questions. Staff was super unprofessional. I felt super uncomfortable during the “check in” process. 0/10 will not recommend.

the insurance papers were not in the truck, U-Haul says "it's OK", I say if I get stopped by the Police I get the fine and 3 points against my personal insurance. We had tight schedule for the move and was not able to cancel this booking. I suggested they refund $15 we paid for extra insurance but that was too much for them.

We're in the middle of a covid pandemic, the store owner was coughing, and wasn't even wearing a mask... And was touching my driver's license/credit card... And the keys to the vehicle. After the rental, the owner tried to pressure me into saying that the vehicle *didn't* potentially come into contact with someone who has covid-19...

When I made the reservation I input the estimated return time as 6:30pm. As per my understanding and my past experience with U-haul it's just as an estimation because you charged a flat rate of 19.99 for 24 hours. Moreover, I can always return the vehicle even after the location is closed by just dropping off the key. However, this time when I returned the van the agent told me I was about an hour late and she had to charge me double the rental charge. I urged her to talk to the call centre for clarification and she was reluctant to do so at the beginning. I spent almost an hour arguing with her and insisted that she could not charge me the penalty. Finally she talked to the call centre and agree to charge me the flat rate $19.99 only. It was the most terrible experience I've ever had with U-haul. I will definitely not recommend this location.

The location and the staff there were great! However, the uhaul system was very terrible. We booked the uhaul for 8:30am for self check-in. We arrive for 8:30 and the system said the location only opens at 9:30am. I was on hold with uhaul for over 30 mins when the system hung up on me. I only got the truck an hour after I booked it which was terrible because we paid to book elevators for a certain time period to move my things. The only reason we were able to get the truck was from the help of the staff at the store who was helping us call uhaul. Overall it was a very frustrating experience and made us lose time.

Person in charge at pickup location struggle speaking English. She asked me to do the pickup using Uhual mobile app, which I did not want to use it, but ultimately did it as last resource. However, the application resulted to be very clumsy and ineffective. I asked her to assist me and she agreed until my third request as the Uhaul phone line had a long wait time. She ended up canceling my reservation and creating a new one to help me. At the return of the truck the same person insisted in charging me for a scratch on one of the truck's mirror, which clearly was there before my use. After some discussion she agreed not to charge me the "damage" (I didn't cause) because I had requested insurance coverage. I will definitely never use this location for renting Uhaul vehicles.

This is the second time we've booked here and the same guy has falsely accused us of dirtying the van and forced us to sweep us, thankfully this time we took a picture to prove that it was already dirty when we got it. So rude.

Extremely unhelpful staff, rude and dismissive. Took over an hour to obtain the keys for my reservation and in the end I just used the online check in app instead. Van was not all that clean and there was some paraphernalia left behind from previous user that should not have been in a vehicle. Very disappointing service.

My brother and I waited 2 hours at this location because the woman couldn't get the uhaul site to work AND then didn't check if there were keys!!!! Had to wait for the mechanic to drop off the keys on top of that!!!

i reserved a van online and was told to go to kingsway location. When i reached there i tried to pickup the van using the U -haul app. But it was't working so i had to call the customer service 2 times. After the issue not being solved they told me to go to another location to pickup the van, so then i had to go to another location to pickup the van. Which was frustrating and time consuming.

I was charged an extra 20$ for using the truck for an extra 20 minutes. The price was originally 30 but he “lowered it”. On top of that the truck smelled horrible and was covered with dust. With covid 19 going around I was constantly weeping my clothes and hands just so I wouldn't catch anything from the vehicle. I will FOR SURE never use U-Haul EVER again.

The woman working was beyond rude from the very start. I've rented through other locations before and it's always been very painless; this was not!! Then, once I dropped off my u-haul I was waiting for my ride and I even made a purchase from the store, she told me I had to leave. I explained I was waiting for my ride and she responded that I wasn't allowed to be in the store for more than 5 min and that I would have to wait outside. I was blown away by this, and will definitely never step foot in this store again nor send any business their way!!!

Cargo van i rented was very dirty. Smoke ashes were everywhere on drivers dashboard like it was used as an ashtray. The vehicle had check engine light on. Overall, service and the condition of the vehicle i rented was in very poor condition. If i had another option I wouldn't have rented from here.

I found the process a bit frustrating when I went to return the vehicle and found out the fee for gas fill up was ridiculous. I went to fill it up myself but they did not know what type of gas to use. First told me diesel then regular gas. The attendant was a nice enough person I'm sure, but talked to us like a machine, very impersonal.

Optimize the mobile experience and make it more transparent. If I knew it would be easier to just get the person to verify it, I would've chosen that option from the beginning instead of waiting 30 minutes with little communication from Uhaul.

Make it obvious that the shop doesn't open until 9 and so you can't begin the registration until then. Also, just ask for a passport photo or something rather than the charade of trying to call my wife who was busy with the children.

The employee couldn't locate the keys to the van. After an hour of searching he informed me that I wouldn't be able to use the van I had reserved and I would have to go to the SE Marine Drive location instead. I was told that the charges to my credit card had been reversed and that I would also receive compensation for the inconvenience, but so far neither of those claims have proven to be true.

If the fuel for the vehicle was full. It was only an eight full and they want you to return it exactly the same, which is very tough to match. Why not have it full always like every other rental that requires the user to refill?

Inform the customer that there are numerous hidden fees! Upon booking for 4 hours my bill was 35$ which included collision insurance. The rep said I didn't have to add gas to the tank. What wasn't mentioned was that there would be a $30 charge! On top of that I paid another $60 in extra fees and taxes so my final bill was $122. This was totally unexpected. I was looking for a van to transport a couch and that was way above what I consider acceptable, especially as I didn't know about it.

Learn to read a gas guage. They insisted I didn't fill the tank to where it was when I got it and incorrectly stated how much was in the tank to start with. They put one quarter tank instead of the correct one eighth of a tank and also tried to add 5.5km to the mileage reading, then called me a list when I attempted to correct them. Not impressed! I will be submitting a formal complaint and WILL NOT be using U-Haul again.

There was only one gas station close by -- a PetroCan, some difficulty with filling up as the gas pump nozzle didn't fit the Van properly. It was a struggle to get even 2litres in the tank! Some sort of adapter might work.

The clerk was pretty friendly, although definitely some areas of opportunity for the location and U-Haul. Getting the truck took much longer, as we needed to remove the furniture dolly from my order since they did not have it at the location (even though I rented it when booking). They also needed to enter my credit card information upon check-in, though I had already done it on the app. When I asked about it, he didn't have an answer as to why it didn't go through from when I booked. Just took some more time to grab the truck and go. I was also charged fro Safe Ride insurance when I did not select to purchase this.

The staffs were nice here but one of them is not familiar with the process and the other one works on fixing the wifi there. So I had waited for 1 hour before I got and returned the equipment. Hopefully they will be better with the process. The van was good and clean although it smelled like it had been used to carry some cattles.
