On top of that, when you walk into the building, it is full of awesome vintage, handmade, and original items fit sale! You could spend hours shopping and getting lost in their store! This location was amazing. However I was forced to go to this location because the manager at the original location for pick up refused to fulfill my reservation. I will be writing a full review on Google about how rude the staff was at the 1900 E Milwaukee St, Janesville, WI 53545. It was unacceptable and demeaning how the manager treated me. I also overheard him treating another customer the same way while I was on the phone with his boss.JASON N.

I needed to rent a trailer and plug it into the U-haul wiring on my truck. The U-haul wiring on my truck failed. They could not get someone to look at it for two weeks. Then they said it would be another two weeks to get parts in. I looked at the job where the U-haul wiring was installed on my truck last year. I could teach a 10 year old to do a better job. They apparently don't have the right tools or supplies available to do a good job. This is a U-haul store, not a franchise store. All these details should be standardized across the country so no matter what coast I am on, I am going to get the same high level of service from U-haul. I can go on and on about how this service should be improved but this is a tiny chat box. The people were good, they just are not being managed right. That has to start at U-haul HQ.Jeffrey K.
This place was amazing! However U-Haul is terrible. I will no longer be using any of there services. Got a call two days before I moved saying that I would have to drive to south Beloit to get my truck, a 50 mile drive, when I reserved it at a place near my location and I had to pay for all the extra miles to go and get my truck and return it to that place! Extremely unhappy with U-haul and will be writing company reviews.Logan F.
This was the only location able to meet my needs at the time. The inside of back of truck was dirty. The tires were caked with dried mud. Did it serve my purpose for hauling my personal goods, YES!!Thank-you.ZANDRA M.

I've been to a few locations for UHaul such as the other Janesville location and Beloit, and this one at Best of Janesville has been the best experience so far. Customer service was excellent, the truck was clean and in great condition, and getting and returning the truck was seamless. Great and friendly folks at Best of Janesville location!Martin C.

I had scheduled a telephone pickup for 830 AM on Saturday May 22nd. I found my assigned truck upon arrival but, according to customer service representatives, I was speaking with via telephone, there were ongoing glitches in both the app and the website, preventing me from phone check-in. So, I had to wait until 10 am when the Highway 51 Janesville location opened to have a clerk physically assist with my rental. Upon opening the back of the Uhaul, I discovered that the furniture and utility dollies (along with the 12 moving blankets) were not even in the truck! Then, after staff put the ordered equipment in the truck, the ignition key could not be found anywhere in the office or overnight lock box pick up, where it should have been for my phone pick up at 830 am. It wasn't until staff called the owner of the location that they was found. With all the delays that I encountered at Uhauls lack of preparation, I was 3 hours behind because of the Uhaul truck rental and equipment not being ready for pickup.Paul H.

The computer system was down and we had to wait and hour before I could get the truck. Unfortunately I lost some of my help. I understand that it wasn't the fault of this location. I only work with this location. They are friendly and always go out of the way to help. I had a bad situation with the Uhaul place on Milwaukee street in Janesville wi a couple of years ago and I called this Uhaul location and they took care of my situation right away. That's why I will only work with this location. They are the reason I rent from Uhaul instead of Penske. I've had 2 sons in the military and have always used Uhaul because of this location.NATALIE S.

A 10' truck was reserved and upon arrival was told that the only thing they had was a cargo van. Very inconvenient when you have help set up to move so you have to take what is available. More trips to storage shed were needed.Ariel H.
Better organization. Arrived shortly before our scheduled 10am pick up and did not leave until 10:40am due to the truck not being checked in after last use. This set us back quite a bit since we still had to drive back to Beloit to our moving location. No discount or compensation made which was disappointing as this really was a large inconvenience.CODY A.

Best of Janesville did a great job. However, I reserved a truck on July 30 for an August 29 date. When I called about picking the truck up early, I was told we would not have a truck because U-Haul double booked. This meant that I had to move my children into their apartment a day early and pay extra rent and my husband had to take the day off work. What is the actual point of having a reservation if it won't be honored? Also, when were they going to tell me? When I actually showed up ready to pick up my truck? Poor business model!!Michael R.

The manager at the location was an absolutely terrible manager. He was unpleasant to work with. His worker told us to drop off at 11am. We did. He told us we were late even tho we arrived at 11. Told us drop off was supposed to be at 10. Charged us. Won't ever go there againMARCIA E.

The coupler that the ball mount goes into was very greasy (red and black) and messy. Not a reflection of the location, but UHaul was HORRIBLE. The reservation was changed without informing me. The location changed. The new location closes earlier than where I reservied. My call to UHaul went unanswered for 10 minutes. I called another UHaul number and had to wait 10 minutes again. The Customer Service Rep could not find my reservation nor help me. HORRIBLE overall experience.Tim A.

After the location where I originally scheduled my pickup decided not to open with no warning to myself and other customers, even after going through online check-in an hour prior to my pickup time, I was directed to a new location a bit of a distance from where I wanted. Lucky for me because the new location was way more professional and painless, unlike the experiences I've had at the closer location in the past. I would use the Best of Janesville location again even though it is less convenient of a location for me just based on the service I received.Trevor W.

I rented here because it was close to my home. The outside entrance electronic box NEVER worked. I could not access my unit unless the store was open. Then I rented a truck for moving and they switched my reservation pick up point to another location (far from my home) without notifying me! Never Again!Jodi C.
