Noticed engine lite was on. Oil level was ok maybe needs oil change ? The personal was great got me u haul on short notice.

Courtney JonesThe truck was very old, the engine ticked a lot and sounded kind of bad and got horrendous fuel economy. The web app wouldn't let me upload a picture (no button showed) so I followed the instructions but the location didn't check my rental in until Monday (returned Friday) and kept trying to charge my card each day. This was a frustrating experience.

DAWN PAAThe gas tank was only a little over a 1/4 tank. I would think that it should be a full tank at time of rental. Especially with it being winter, and cold.
Jeffrey Windsortrailer needed new tires, they were rock hard. Roll up door was hard to open. When I reserved the trailer from one location it was set up to pay cash at pick up. U-haul changed my pick up location to this one without letting me know they didn't accept cash payment. I had set it up 2 weeks previous so it would run smoothly for our move and then they pull this to make it as difficult as they could. Some folks may like and use credit cards without any thought, but I'm a cash on the spot person and don't use credit cards. Only other option was for them to find another location with a trailer that did accept cash which was a 45 minute drive each way plus paperwork time so figure on 2 hours wasted on something that was reserved 2 weeks ahead of time. I'll never use Uhaul again.

Katie TimmonsFirst time ever using Uhaul. I was nervous, to say the least. Made worse was the fact I thought I was going to have to drive the Uhaul truck to an undetermined location the day before to pick up the auto transport trailer. To my HUGE surprise, they had the transport trailer brought to my truck pick up location and everything was hooked up for me and ready to go. Needless to say, I will never use a car transport again. But only because I didn’t like it. Uhaul was absolutely wonderful, and works very well for the prices. I was just terrified pulling a 4,000lb. vehicle.
Ben JensonThis uhaul place was fabulous...5 stars I had tried for several days to contact the uhaul on Janesville east side and just the phone calls were pathetic. I attempted to contact them 11 times over 8 days... nobody ever answered and every single time the answering machine said it would be at least half hour wait. We weren't allowed to leave message. That could ruin the uhaul reputation... as it's NOT the way to run a business. So there Ya go...51 south Uhaul.. thumbs up all the way. Milwaukee St Uhaul... shut it down, as it seems to be doing it on its own.

Sue KleinschmidtIn order to have the paperwork required to drive the truck, we had to go home and print out the paperwork ourselves. Same hing when we returned the truck. That is the job of the rental place not the customer.

Jill MartenAll the people I dealt with were very nice. However, I had originally expected to pick up my U Haul in Loves Park, IL and had made my reservations over a week prior to pick up. When I arrived in Loves Park, there was no available trailer there. They did help me find another one in Janesville WI, 30 miles away. This added significant mileage and time to pick up and return. The Loves Park folks also failed to mention that the Janesville location wouldn't be open when I arrived. The Janesville contact was very nice but the whole experience was very frustrating. The reservation system failed me on this occasion.

Toni RuizWhen I picked up the truck it had less than a quarter of a tank of gas. I had to put gas in just so I could reach my destination. I ended up putting more gas in than what I needed. I think all trucks should have a full tank of gas when it is picked up then return it with a full tank of gas.

H OBERGThere was nothing to complain about with any locations services. This is the 3rd time I’ve moved with U-Haul and every time is worse than the last. This marks the last time I will be using this service. I reserved my truck at the closest location to my first home 2 weeks in advance of my move. When I called the location 2 days prior to the move, not only did the location inform me that they did not have the truck I scheduled, but they didn’t even see me on the schedule! I would’ve showed up prior to them opening the business with no truck to rent. When I arrived for check-in at the new location that had the proper truck (20 extra miles away) I spent an extra 20 minutes in the parking lot trying to get people that were able to answer the phone (my first 2 options weren’t acceptable for your automated service) and was on hold for the entirety of the window. It took 30 minutes for a check-in process that should take no longer than 5.
