Although the van was clean there was no mention about sanitizing the keys or steering wheel. That is a gap at this time with the pandemic. No-one checked the detail of gas level before the journey but instead did this at the return, I was told it was full and that seemed the case by the fuel gauge. No question answered about miles/litre. I drove 8 kms with a light load and had to put in 8 litres of gas based on a specially detailed fuel check (electronic device which was not used before taking the van. This seems overstated and unreasonable. I am very disappointed with this site and will not use that one again.

Despite UHAUL's alleged Covid protocols 2 employees (or owners) were not wearing masks inside the store. Their lack of regard for the health of their customers was infuriating. Also, I was asked for my drivers license and I advised that I had provided it online the previous day. It then took him 5 minutes to callup the required information as I was standing there surrounded by employees with NO masks! This was shocking and extremely disturbing.

Truck has a sign inside that said “if you don't sweep it out you will be charged a service fee” the people who has the truck before us left it so dirty. And we had to clean it out before we started moving.

Website would not let me book pick-up and return from this location. I attended location and was instructed to call 1 800 GO U HAUL. The person who answered was also excellent and my request was processed properly. Revamp or check why your website doesn't allow for bookings from this location.

Better COVID procedures. I chose to pick up online but had to go into the store anyways... Why give me the option of counter vs no counter when you ultimately force the customer to go to the counter??

The panel covering the fuel tank was Brocken off and loose when I picked the truck up. Unfortunately it was the only truck I could get in the gta so I just took it. However it made it dangerous to load the trucK especially with the ramp down. The can of the truck smelled like smoke, and the truck was not locked when I got there so really anyone could have rummaged through it which isn't awesome at a time like this. Vehicle should be dis infected then locked after the return. I doubt this location did those things at all. And I would imagine there is still a used mask under the seat for the customer that has the truck today

When we received the truck the cargo area had not even been swept and there were screws and nails all over the floor. The cab of the truck was absolutely filthy and dirty water bottles were left by the previous renter. Not sanitary especially during covid! The worst part was it took us half an hour to pull out the ramp because a trap door in the floor of the cargo area had fallen down into a hole and was blocking the ramp from sliding out. Once we were able to move the metal panel down and could get the ramp out, it still left a huge hole in the floor that I fell into twice while moving our stuff into the truck! The situation was very unsafe while carrying heavy things!

Haven't yet recieved a final bill. Vehicle was very dirty with garbage left in the back. I had to climb over convenience store boxes to get to the back. Otherwise, everything went as well. I understand that staff are minimally entering vehicles during COVID-19

Address systems issue for check out and return. Took me 70 minutes to checkout, which required a call to complete the process with a Uhaul agent over the phone, and 30 minutes to return the vehicle, which also required a call to Uhaul when the return process 'looped' to the start of the process once my credit card charges had been confirmed. Incredibly frustrating!

Vehicle was in poor condition. Steering was very loose and vehicle was making a number of strange noises. Most irritating is you upgrades me from a 10 foot truck to a 16 foot without asking (and charged me $10 more) and then I got charged $10 for gas even though I added gas before I brought it back.

It would be greatly appreciated if customer do not have to clean snow and ice from the car. (good thing I had telescopic snow brush with me) To have car wormed up would be even better.

The miscommunication and mishandling of customers/procedure during the setup and drop-off process was an extra layer of stress that no one would consciously pay money for. Extremely irritated with the service at this location - they were not able to accomodate the drop off time I had pre-booked, and therefore they asked if I could drop the next day - not specifying a time frame. I had to work - as any normal human with a schedule and said I would drop it when I had a chance before late afternoon. They proceeded to incessantly call me throughout the day - telling me they needed it back asap - yet had not specified a time the night before. I then had to leave work to accommodate their bullshit. And once I arrived to drop it off, the attendant who was threatening with all the calls wasn't even there to receive and the shop owner told me I had to come back yet again, another day, to receive my refund. All and all - a hot mess.

It was extremely difficult to “mobile check in” I phoned customer service 3 times to help. We lost 30 minutes of our rental time we paid for. The truck was clean - but more than once we had trouble starting the vehicle.

I was completely unaware that there was an after hours charge. I used a cargo van for under a few hours, went 20 km, and paid almost 100.00 for it. It's ridiculous.

Tires not adequate for winter conditions. I was caught by a minor snowstorm and once driving on even a little snow the van could not climb even a modest grade. NOT SAFE.

Tried to charge us $283 and cha get saying theres a deposit taken for vehicle and then returned when we returned the vehicle. We paid online $147.00 for the express check in. The employee was frazzled and I called uhaul. Spoke to a Mike and he told the employee that we were paid up and only owed $36 and change for the taxes. The employee was irritated and called his help desk. All for her to tell him the same thing Mike did. This whole experience took 45 minutes. We were not impressed as we were on a time line and doing the express checkout we thought would benefit us. Also not sure why the website did not mention insurance or taxes when paying online. Website also would crash several times after filling out all information. First time booking with uhaul and have to say, I wasn't impressed.

I had originally requested a vehicle from the Ancaster location, re 1235 Osprey Drive, Ancaster. A vehicle was not available and I had to pick up at the Big Bear location. Personally I do not think I should be charged the extra kms, re 16 km each way between the two locations. I had wanted the Ancaster location because it is close to my home. I believe in any situation if a vehicle is requested from one location and the customer must travel to a further location to pick up, the customer should be credited with the reduction in kms between the two locations. Not only is it the extra km cost but it is also the extra fuel cost for the uHaul and on my personal vehicle to get to the further location. If you agree, please credit back to me the additional km charge that I incurred of 32kms @ 0.69 = 19.2 plus applicable HST. I would also like to know what the charge on my final invoice for EZ Fuel sales in the amount of $12.04 is related to. My contract number was 95233137. You can respond to me at mvanseveren@kpmg.ca

Make sure your system is up and running before arrival. If not, be ready to have another solution on hand. We had to wait 30 minutes to get our truck, and they didn't adjust the pricing for us.

When I dropped off the truck, they told me I had driven 30,000 miles. I had the truck for one day. The person who took my return told me to leave it with him and they would look after it. I also mentioned that I never got my dolly and he assured me that it would be credited back to my account. But it was not. I was not charged for extra mileage.

This is the first time I have used the 24/7 pick up. After taking photos of myself, my license, and my passport, I waited for the system to approve the rental. The on-line app just seemed to shut down. I had to phone U-haul, wait again for an available customer service person, and finally was able to get access to the vehicle. It turned out taking nearly 1/2 hour to pick up the van, and I still had to go inside the store to pick up the key. Needless to say, I won't be using the 24/7 pick up option again. It was frustrating and a time waster.
