Samuel APersonnel here were friendly and as helpful as they could be. The U-Haul computer network nation-wide was down - they provided as much help and information as they could and notified me immediately when the system was back up. Great place to pick up U-Haul hardware and supplies.

DALE VCustomer service was terrible. I was given a truck, but the check engine light on steering wheel was not aligned both front tires had to be replaced by roadside assistance. I was given a truck that was very unsafe to drive.
SYLVIA HI have rented from U-Haul of Black Forest / Essential Realty many times as a veteran-owned business owner and never had an issue until now. I rented 60 moving pads for 24 hours and was quoted $52.56. I returned all pads on time at 5:00 PM, exactly as requested. I even offered to bring the already folded pads inside, but the owner personally told me to leave them on the benches, which I did. Later, I was informed that 10 pads were allegedly missing and 3 were damaged, and without any proof, photos, or discussion, I was charged $181.56. This is completely unacceptable. There was no count performed with me present, no damage inspection at return, and no attempt to resolve the issue before charging my card. I have rented pads countless times in this industry and understand normal wear and tear. This was not that. This was a post-return accusation with zero transparency. As a veteran and a small business owner who values integrity and repeat relationships, this experience was extremely disappointing. I will not rent from this location again, and I strongly advise other contractors and movers to be cautious unless you want surprise charges after doing everything you were instructed to do. Trust matters in this business. This location failed that test.

LIZA WWe originally rented a small truck through the Black Forest location. When we went to pick up we found out AT THAT MOMENT that the small truck does NOT have a ramp! We then had to change trucks to the next bigger size in order to have what we asked for when calling for the reservation. The Black Forest location did not offer to give us a reduced rate because they messed up and didn't tell us that the small trucks don't have a ramp for convenience. Only thing good about the rental was the location for pick up and drop off.
