The first location that l arrived at was unoccupied. The hours on the front door read 10am to 2 pm. I had to drive an additional 50 miles to another location to pick up the equipment that l needed. The reservation person tried calling but there wasn't any answer.

I reserved a truck at the Boone location weeks in advance. 2 days before the planned pick up, I got a phone call saying I would have to pick up the equipment at a different location. It worked out ok, but was frustrating. (Not a problem with this location but was a frustration with the U-Haul reservation system generally.)

This was the 2nd location where I tried to return trailer. First one in Boone was too full to accept, so I had to spend more money on gas and more than 1 1/2 hours of my day traveling here to return your trailer. The staff was helpful, but I had to do everything as there was only 1 person working. I even had to ask a customer to help me get trailer off my truck. Not the way I wanted to spend my day.

Charged me for extra gas and it had more in it when returned than when I picked it up. Uhaul too expensive. Use Penske truck rental. Much more affordable.

Received one final invoice for the little bit of gas that was needed. There was NO gas at the gas station attached, so I could not fill it up to return it as necessary. They sent an invoice for the gas, which was inflated far and above the cost of a few gallons. Then the next day I received another invoice that included a $50 cleaning fee, after I had it inspected upon drop off and was told everything was "ok" So in the end I was charged nearly $100 over the original payment amount at the pick up location. Since I live 3 hours from the drop off location, there is no way for me to go back and dispute these charges, which is where they "gotcha!!"

We would rather have dropped it in Boone which is where we were, rather than have to drive an hour out of our way to drop off the truck in Lenoir!!!!!

I am very unhappy that I could not drop the trailer off in Boone as they were full and had to divert me to this location, which was 17 miles one way--out of our way. Will think twice about U-Haul in the future.

Untrained, inexperienced, but very nice gentlemen to deal with. Unable should take better care in the training of their agents. I was sent to a location where they did not have the trailer I needed and sent to an alternate location where I found what I needed. The 1-800 uhaul agent was not very helpful and I wasted an hour of my time trying to connect with a trailer location.

Worked as expected, except for fees and mileage. 46 miles from pickup to drop off. $29.95 for one day rental was $84! At $1.82 per mile that is more the otr freight rates.
