I rented a small utility trailer total charge with taxes and insurance was around $ 28.00 you currently have a pending debt taken from my account for $135.00, I never agreed to this, the agent stated he only authorized a total charge of $60.00 which was supposed to be a security deposit because I used my debit card. A day after I returned the utility trailer in the condition I received it a $135.00 pending charge remains pending, which is subtracted from my available balance, again, which I did not authorize and or approved and which the Uhaul location representative said he did not have record of a charge for $135.00, for this reason I am giving this review 1 star, you charged my account a dollar amount that far exceeded the agreed amount and in addition after you have been made aware the charge still remains I work in the retail industry and it does not take this long to reverse a charge.

it would be great if uhaul could honor their reservations. it is not unusual to reserve a trailer for a certain day, only to be told that the trailer "hasn't come in". I've had to travel 50 miles in such circumstances to find a trailer. in one instance, i never did get one. this is often a disaster for the customer. I have since started booking trailers for an extra day in advance to help improve my chances of actually getting one. Of course, this is added cost to me. your trailers are great, but your reservation system is not.

Overall the experience was simple and went well with the location. The van itself was clean except for a really bad smell of cigarettes. May likely create an issue for any customer with asthma or sensitivity to smoke.

I rented a truck and trailer. The proprietor of this location changed my trailer pick up time to 11:45am. My truck pick up time was 12:00pm and 28 miles away! He was also 15 minutes late from lunch! Big problem overall... To be clear, I rented the truck a different location and was very satisfied with that location!

Very weird and unpleasant experience. I purchased the collision damage insurance, but the person at Burke's Upholstery went on for about half an hour showing me every nick or scratch on the van. He said they he personally knows the vehicles inside and out and that I would be charged for any scratch or nick on the car that resulted from my usage. Bizarre at best. My assumption is that I provide my credit card and drivers license on the app and I can pick up the vehicle and go. Not the case. Had to provide my drivers license and credit card again and be lectured about the vehicles.

This was the secondary location. I had a reservation to pick up the trailer at a location in a different city. I was called by Uhaul the day before and told that there would not be a trailer for pick up at the initial location even though I reserved one. I had to change my plans and pick up a trailer in a different city. Not having something that I reserved is very unprofessional. Because of this I will not rent from Uhaul again and I will let others know that just because they reserved a piece of equipment at Uhaul doesn't mean it will be there.

If you are gonna drop it off at another location, you need to make sure to tell the rep that you plan to do so. Otherwise, you have to drop it off at the same location. I ended up paying double of what I anticipated...

He refused to acknowledge the minor damage left front side of pick-up when we picked up truck. He stated it was part of the previous customers mirror mishap. Then, when we returned the truck, he says we did the damage and we'll have to pay for it. What a scam. Also had dirty windshield and a bad smell which I could not identify, almost like a previous smoker. If I have to pay for the damage, it will become a small claims court issue. We were two doctors present when we picked up the vehicle. We will not be scammed out of our hard earned money during the virus pandemic!!!

I rented Trailer for 2 days on Friday at 1:20 PM in Morgan Hill. Originally I was assigned location in San Jose to pickup Trailer and later changed to Morgan Hill location..Randy at the location told me facility is closed on Sunday and I told him I will drop it off on Sunday evening. Called me next day on Saturday to return the trailer. I told him it's rented or 2 days. He said he is renting it to somebody else on Sunday and he will come on his day off and return it. I have to cut short my trip for half day and returned Trailer at 2:00 PM. Later I came to know he charged me for 3 days. Never returned the call back. Customers should not be bothered by calls unless it's due for return.

Pick up and drop off was easy. Location looks super sketchy. While moving an item fell and dented the interior of the van. I didn't see it and my hubby didn't either. When employee called to let me know about the dent he said and I quote “you must have known I was going to call since you crushed the wheel well”. Dude?!? What?!? I took photos of the van there was no “crushing” of any kind. I did see the dent when I looked harder and it was not large. A dent is a dent and I accepted that I would need to pay my deductible. It left a bad taste as far as using this location goes. I usually drive all the way to San Jose but thought I would make it easier on myself. I won't be using this location again.

I went to Burkes to just rent the truck and chatted with Jarred for 45 mins about all sorts of stuff. Great friendly regular guy. Reminds me so much of how Morgan Hill was 33 years ago when I first came here. Friendly small town folk who treat you with old time courtesy, goodwill and friendship, not just making a sale but making a friend and a customer to help the needs of for life. What ever happened to those days? Well they are still right there in Burkes. He was also 110% perfect on explaining everything to me about the contract, all charges for any item like milage, gas, insurance, and deductabile whihc all places leave out. Extremely polite but the real friendly brought up this way polite, not the fake polite of repeateing mandated corporate required phrases one is told to say, whihc comes across as phony because no one talks that way. Nope this came because he's a down right good ol' American guy, a good person by nature. Took me around the pickup and went thru everything inside the truck (which was brand spankin' new) and what controls what, very detailed go thru. I told Jarred (did I get that right, I got conked on the head real bad and have trouble remembering now) I would be back in about 6 weeks for a rental to move to Utah, he asked me the town and gave the rundown on all charges and options on the different trucks, tons of detail I did not fully investigate on the web site myself. To say he was extremely helpful are not strong enough words. My son had just gone down to rent a 17 foot truck about a week before, he had a real good experience as well. Morgan Hill has grown so big so fast and is getting bigger. Italked to my son and pointed out this small old time business and told him in a few more years you wont ever see anyone like him in business in Morgan Hill. All the places like this where guys like hom can afford to serve the community are being squeezed out by ever increasing rents for the buildings and prices for the land. Soon there will only be "Mega Centers" for a rental truck, possibly only in San Jose and not in Morgan Hill or Gilroy. If those centers arrise you should consider guys like this to run it, not some collage educated shiny degree guy, you need a real person, a real man or woman of the people, someone who really knows what it means and what its like to have to rent a truck and move yourself, a regular guy, "John or Jane", not "Worthington, Preston and Holden or Bethany, Brittany and Brooklyn", a real person who has dirt under their finger nail, scrubs their own bathroom floor an knows the price of milk.
