Ward R.Rented a large trailer online, find out at pick-up that it's not in, only offered a smaller one, Had to make two trips to accomplish it, turned it in 2 hrs later, got double billed. HaD TO DRIVE IT TWICE, 2X THE GAS, 2X THE TIME AND BECUASE YOUR RESERVATION SYSTEM WAS FAILED, i PAY TWICE. BULLSHOT

Barbara S.The staff at By Pass Self Storage was helpful and got me on the road promptly with the rental trailer. I had a short local move and was back in a few hours, the trailer worked perfectly. Based on this good experience I would recommend By Pass as a rental location. On site there was both the office person and another staff member who hooked up the trailer and confirmed that things were correct, checking that all taillights were functioning correctly before sending me off. This personal touch was a confidence booster and much appreciated!

Robbie C.We had a confirmed email reservation for over a month and when we went to pick up our uhaul in Queen Creek Arizona to move back to Illinois, we were told there were no available uhauls for the size we needed (26 ft). Also that there were none available for at least a week. These was a huge issue for us as we were completely packed and needed to be out of our house the following day. After taking several hours to find this out we had no idea what we were suppose to do. Once home another representative called me and he found one the following day in Silver City, NM for an early morning pickup. We had to drive 5 hours to this location, stay in a hotel, drive another 5 hours back to Arizona and load. By the time we loaded with the drive we were exhausted and had to stay in another hotel so we could rest and leave the next morning. Needless to say we had to spend 10 hours extra driving with my car for gas, 2 extra nights for a hotel than planned, and that put us behind schedule for our arrival to Illinois. I asked at one time to talk to the manager and was told by the person that she was the manager, which I felt had no empathy for what we were going through and the stress that this issue caused. I don't understand how the correct size truck was not available after having a confirmed email reservation.

Michael D.Could not get the online mobile services to work prior to pick up to finish the rental process. It just kept loading. It was fine this time as we had talked personally to the office when we had requested the truck for the day so they were ready for us with a clean well maintained truck. They didn't have the 15ft truck available when we went to pick it up but upgraded us to the 20ft truck at the 15ft truck price. That was a great service as we had to have the truck that day. When dropping off after business hours that same day we were supposed to take pictures of the vehicles condition and any other equipment we rented, we had swept and cleaned it out and fillled the gas tank, but again had difficulties with the online return process and it not loading even though we were in the parking lot like we were supposed to be. Luckily there was someone in the office after hours and saw us sitting in our vehicle and came to see if he could help. He told us he would let the appropriate person know, when we returned the truck, it's condition, and that the appliance dolly was also returned. Because he was not part of the office staff he didn't have access to records but assured us he would see that they got the information. Everyone at the rental place were very friendly and helpful. 5 stars to them. It's a small community so we were okay with the pickup and return process, this time. However, we are driving to CA from NM to pick up some things in a few weeks and renting a trailer in a large city and are concerned about the whole online mobile process not working. We rented it using the desk top computer so I am hoping that's enough and there is a trailer available when we get there and there are no problems getting it. We are on a tight schedule and it's a long drive to CA and back to NM. I'm not impressed with having to use the mobile service and hope we don't have to rely on it or we are delayed because if it. We have good Android smart phones but not $1000+ 5G phones. Mobile services need to work for all smart phones. That was the only problem with renting from our local UHaul and because of their personal service it wasn't really a problem.

Marguerite B.First, when you specify one way with the rental, make sure people know that means back to the location you rented. I was quoted $244 for the rental, but when picked up I was told one way did not mean to the destination with drop off. the quote changed to over $1000. I was charged 4 extra days for renting in one city and dropping off in another. The wordage is misleading and borders on false advertising. My email confirmation said one way. I felt we were victimized because of our circumstances. I will not use U haul ever again.
John L.The ramp on my U-HAUL did not go all the way in and it was causing difficulties closing the back door. At some point when I was on my way to return the U-HAUL, the back door opened up completely and it didn't want to close again.
