This was one of the worst experiences! I reserved a truck 1.5-2 weeks before I needed it. I was guaranteed the truck I reserved or I got $50. My original pick up place didn't have the truck. I checked the app again & it said the location changed (without ANY notification). I called them before we drove the extra miles. They had ZERO trucks. I had to call the dispatcher (?) for this area & she was able to find a truck 15 miles away & half the size. So I had 30 extra miles & less truck than I needed. Was there ANY compensation for the extra mileage that I had to endure? No, but you already knew that. I will NEVER use U-Haul again. Ever.Carol B.

Steve was very very nice employee and took very good care of me and my son as renters, he went out of his way to make sure we had the right equipment, and knew what we were paying for each thing, and just made sure we were happy with our rental. I would definitely rent from him again.Alys M.
I've searched all over the Parish, and finally came across a location that was well established and had equipment available. Friendly, Nice, and Courteous individuals to work with. I originally had a vehicle rented at the 812 Wheelis St, West Monroe, LA 71292 location. I had a confirmation of a truck and an appliance doll. When I arrived the truck was there and only a handcart. I told the person there that I was supposed to have an appliance dolly and said that's all we've got take it or leave it. Told me that the website wasn't his responsibility. I called Uhaul 800 number and got another very unhelpful person who told me there was nothing she could do I'd have to call around on my own. I said this is really crappy customer service. She said that this was the corporate office and not customer service. So I asked her to transfer me to customer service and she tells me that it is customer service.I said you just told me this was corporate not customer service. While this conversation was going on my brother called the Cajun Pawn location and he said he had what I needed and was very courteous and got me in the truck with no hassles and friendly banter. The people at the Wheelis location should not have a uhaul affiliation in my opinion.BRUCE M.

Remove old equipment. There is no reason customers should have to use equipment out of date, or unpleasant to use (not cleaned, noisy (sounds unbearable to drive),. My wife and i had to stop numerous to check and see if the equipment was still operational because the noise from the equipment was loud and made driving unbearable to listen to. U-Haul really disappointed me with their equipment rental. I will look into other vendors prior to contacting U-Haul.floyd H.

Cajun Pawn was very helpful with my moving needs and I want to take this opportunity to tell people to go by and shop and talk to David and Steve; they have a lot to offer someone on a budget and they also have name brand mattresses, great prices. Now for UHaul, poor service. A request was made on the 27th of June to pick up a 10 foot van on the 30th of June between 9/10 a.m.. Cajun told me I will receive a call from UHaul to complete my transaction. Got an initial call from Emma. She had the pickup date and time incorrect in UHaul's data base. Once she corrected the info she stated I will receive a call by noon on Friday to confirm vehicle pickup and it may be on another Uhaul lot in West Monroe. I told her that would be fine. Did not receive a call. Friday approximately 3 p.m. I called UHaul and spoke to Christi and she confirmed the pickup time and would get back to me once a vehicle was located. Did not receive a call. Saturday around 8 a.m. I called UHaul and got Emma on the line and was told the truck is due to be at Cajun by 9 a.m.. She came across as being bothered by my call. She was not reassuring or did not convey any concern about my needs. I called Cajun and talked with Steve and he reassured me the vehicle is due to arrive on their lot no later than 9. Infact the vehicle had been checked in and awaiting for pickup. I picked up the vehicle and made my move and returned the vehicle. The vehicle was given to me with a half a tank of gas and was instructed to return the vehicle with the same gas level. I wasn't sure how much gas I needed to purchase to bring it back to a half so I put $40 worth of gas in the tank which brought it up to 3 quarters of a tank. I have contacted UHaul by email requesting a credit to my credit card for the difference in fuel used, No Response.betty C.

Trailer lights were tested before I left. However, there is a short in the trailer wiring harness. I spent over 30 dollars in fuses and a second trailer adapter to realize this. I drove the entire trip in the dark with no trailer lights. I was stopped by the police three times. No tickets issued. Just warnings.Jonathan B.

U Haul technician connected trailer but did not tighten ball/hitch. Trailer came off hitch 60 miles from business. No damage occurred but could have been horrible.JOHN N.

We started with the uhaul on Farmerville hwy 33 in ruston. We made reservations 2 weeks ahead of time. They did not have it for us the day we needed it .we had already hired guys to help us load. He did not even call to let us know he did not have the uhaul we needed. I would not recommend keeping that branch. We had to drive to Monroe 35 miles away to puck one up. Besides gas and time now we had to load in the heat of the day.WILLIAM S.
