This place was excellent. What wasn't amazing was the fact that i had scheduled a 15ft bus atleast a week ahead of time and didn't receive that option. I received a text the day before rental day changing the location (making it much harder to get to instead of the town i was in). It was moved to 1353 CANAL ST in NELSONVILLE. What a joke. If you rent on a Saturday or Sunday this person will not show up. I was paying people 20 dollars an hour... for me to waste 1.5 hours to not get a truck big enough. This caused me to make 2 trips. So on top of moving i had to drive 6 hours instead of 3. I was impressed by how Uhaul handled this mess up. I implore you release your contract with this owner. I saw the reviews on your own website about this location and they are awful and accurate. The truck (the one we needed) we could clearly see was filthy. The parking area was muddy. Luckily the contract you have in Plains OH was fantastic. They even guessed what my problem was/the town i had just came from. They were honest and tried to get me out of there asap. The representatives i spoke to were fantastic. Seriously every encounter i had (minus the no call, no show) was great. Even dropping off the truck. So just a summary DO NOT RENT FROM NELSONVILLE OH on Saturday or Sunday. The owner makes his own hours on those days as we were told in The Plains OH. Dont be like me and waste so much time and a ton of money. As i went over my mileage because i had to make 2 trips.

I was supposed to pick up a trailer at another location they weren't there. When I got to this location the cashier and floor employees were arguing over who was going to help me I had driven 4 hours to go to Jones and no one was there then I went to this location and felt unwanted. I should receive a huge discount

The trailer we received smelled very bad inside. I must have been used to haul farm animals or manure. We did not know this until we opened it at the loading location. When we called they said they did not have any other trailers. Our belongings smelled when we unloaded them. Very unsatisfied.

My issue is that we first reserved a 17' Truck from the location on E State St. Then was called to say they only have a 20' and I said that's fine as long as the price didn't go up. Then Uhaul called and said they only had a 20' truck in Nelsonville and we would have to pick it up but it'd be a flat rate of 89.95(already up 20 dollars from our first reservation). We wanted something closer so asked about 15' trucks closer. There was one in the plains we could use and everything seemed fine until we then got a receipt for 147 DOLLARS! The lack of organization is appalling. I would like to get a refund of 57.05 for the excess amount you charged after telling me the flat rate would be 89.95. Thank you

Was never told about the fuel. I think I put 15 miles in the truck for a local in town move and was charged for a full tank when the gas was pretty much the same when we pick it up. Was not a full tank at pick up. When we checked in it took 45 min with no one around because the local rep didn't have computer service. They also didn't have any blankets we requested online. Also, this location was not the closest to the one I picked online when I requested a 17' originally. They offered a 20' upgrade for no charge but I only used a 15' because that's all I needed. Not a good experience at all.

My overall experience was terrible. I reserved a 20ft truck with appliance dolly for belpre ohio. Received a call a day before pick up only to. Be told that they did NOT have my vehicle! I was told I could have pick a 20ft up but it would be at 330 in a further than acceptable distance. Then was told i could have a 26ft vehicle for the same price and at 11 on the day of pick up. Not acceptable. It was bigger than the loading space would fit. Ended up get a 20 ft without an appliance dolly 45 miles away from needed , picking it up on way to loading location. They did give me the 45 miles and an extra day.( i didn't need it) . This was the worst experience I have ever had with Uhaul. I have always used them but with this experience,,, I am rethinking my next moving truck

I had tried reserving a truck on line in Athens Ohio but had so much trouble with the app that I lost the reservation. I called uhaul and they said the didn't have a 20 ft at that location even though 15 min earlier I had one reserved there. They sent me to the plains to get one even though I said to just cancel the reservation. I got the truck but was very unhappy about the service i got both from the app and from customer service when I called them. The guy at the plains was great though.

The app did not work for me to drop off the truck after hours (couldn't find my location, and there was no way of proceeding in the app without that). So I went back during business hours but the person there who handles UHaul wasn't present, so I would up leaving my documents and the truck and key and hoping everything worked out. Returning the truck was a frustrating experience.

The employees at the hardware store in particularly Jeff the little old man need trained or retrained on how to do reservations, gift certificates, and billing. This is 2nd time I used this location and 2nd time I've had issues. There was not a truck close to my residence I was moving from. I had to use the one in the Plains at the Savings hardware. That made me have to pay for 10 miles I shouldn't have. I truly will never use U-Haul again. The first time I did the pick up and drop off locations were problems. The gentleman who assisted us was so knowledgeable and polite. He cleared the snow from the vehicle and warmed it up. Very nice. He was very efficient so it was a quick in and out when we picked up the truck.
