The vehicle was smaller that what we rented and had garbage inside (plastic bottles, papers etc). It wasn't cleaned before.Jorge G.
They over charged on the miles by twice what I had used. They said it would be refunded when I returned the truck but it wasn't. Avoid this location at all costs. I wanted to rent a truck for a few hours as I am in the process of moving. When Uhaul asked for an estimate of the mileage I would use, I remember putting 25 because the location was fairly close, only about 11 miles away. When I got to the store to pick up the truck, they told me that I put 50 miles instead of 25 and they would need to charge for me for that. This was the first red flag. I did not want to argue since I was on a time crunch and figured that whatever mileage I don't use would get refunded to my card. However, I know that I would never put 50 miles considering the distance of the location. Almost a month later, I receive a receipt from the trip, and see that I am being charged for 526 miles. So this location is trying to scam me from $593.61. Mind you, I picked up the truck at 5:19 pm and returned it at 7:51 pm. I am positive one cannot drive 526 miles in 2.5 hours within the speed limit... I will be contacting and disputing this charge, but save yourself the headache and time, avoid this sketchy location.Austin M.

This part of the neighborhood does not seem safe. The trucks are kept in an abandoned location that seems to be an old gas station. It is not clear where to go to speak to someone to check out the truck. I had selected mobile checkout, and when I got there, discovered that was not an option at this location. I was walking around the property wondering where to find someone to check out the truck in this unsafe neighborhood. Not a pleasant experience.Patricia V.

When I rented the truck, they told me I had to return it by 6:30 even though the flyer says it's open till 7:00 pm. When came back to return the truck at 6:15 the place was closed already, I parked the truck on the street from where I picked it from but had no idea what to do with the keys, after 30 minutes trying to call U-Haul customer service (that by the way was terrible becouse no body answered and I was on hold for at least 12 minutes, in two different intents, I end up giving up and hang up without talking to anyone) the website was very helpful when I figured out that I could do it from my phone, that was great, but now the problem was where to leave the keys when there is not a key drop box, and believe me I looked everywhere,and no phone to contact someone, the phone listed on the store no one picked up, so I had to come back the next day right before to go to work to give the keys back. Overall not a great experience in this location. I rented truck tuice again in the pass week on before and after this one and it went pretty smooth.Duber O.
This location was a cell phone repair shop in a dodgy part of town, and it was not the store where I'd initially requested my truck and made my reservation. That first truck was given away without me being notified, but the first location found the second truck out of this cell phone store. Frustrating, but overall not a big deal. Communication afterward was annoying though. I received no less than 8 phone calls about the rental from two numbers, requesting different information.Courtney W.

On the papers given to me the name and address of the location was not on it. I tried to call the number that was on the listing for the location that was listed on the computer to tell them I was keeping the truck one more day and after many rings a voice mail came up giving another telephone number rather than the one I called. When we returned the truck, we were told there was no one to inspect the returned truck just to leave the keys. The truck needs major overhaul work done on it.Agnes B.

The truck was filthy dirty from the previous renters, old work gloves, fast food restaurant cups and trash all over inside the cab. The blankets were filled with dirt and leaves and not folded just thrown in the truck. The pick up location never explained to me that I needed it back within 24 hours he just told me "by the next day" which resulted in an additional $56 charge to me. When returning the truck in Pembroke Pines the big guy behind the counter said to me and I quote "where did you get this piece of shit from"? Overall a very embarrassing and unprofessional experience. This is my third time using Uhaul and in the future I would probably look elsewhere because of this terrible experience.Troy M.
Person at location didn't introduce themselves, didn't give me any paperwork nor instructions. He took a picture of my credit card and gave me the keys. He told me which truck it was and also to some gas in it and take a picture. He also didn't tell me where to drop it off or when they closed. I had to look for him to ask him to help me back out in a busy street. The local is dirty, they sell cell phone services, unlock iPhones, fix and sell scooters oh and also rent U haul trucks. A uhaul manager or representative should inspect at this location. Thankfully I've rented from U haul before and I know to take pictures of the mileage, truck, and leave the truck with the same amount of gas I received it in. I had also reserved a dolly but then he said another location may have taken it, and simply brushed it off. I have a bad back and was moving by myself I needed that dolly, so I told him to please look at another truck, and there it was ! This place is a joke and I cannot believe u haul let's them represent them... I just hope they don't comment credit card fraud or identity theft from the picture they took of my credit card.Marvin A.

I was not communicated that the location that was picked for me, that was not open on sunday when i needed the truck for one day. The locations was charging me 2 days when on the brochure saids 24/7 drop off and I couldn't even drop keys. It was very inconvenience that I had to come back on Monday after I spoke to customer service on which time I was given a 30 dollar credit which I could even use due to the inconvenience I encounter. I will never use you guys again and I hope you guys can make this better.Julio C.

The location rep to be present for the customer to be able to pick up at the time of the reservation, rep showed up 30 minutes after reservation time. The location to have the reserved truck size and not one smaller, specialy after I was contact and moved to that location specifically because they were going to have the truck size that I reserved. The manager was nice and I was in and out rather quickly which was great, however, I was charged for insurance coverage I never asked for and demanded it be removed. In spite of repeated assurances from the manager, the DID NOT remove the bogus charges - now I have to dispute the credit card charge.Ron K.

VERY BAD CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE!!!! I rented the truck for 10 hours, and I went back to drop of the truck after 6 hours, to the same location as the pickup, however when we came to dropoff the truck, there was nobody there and the place was closed. We called the contact number from the contract, and it was not working, so we called Customer Service 2 times and we wrote an email explaining the issue. We were advised by the Customer Service Representative to drop it off at the near by Uhaul location, which we did. Next morning at 8 am, we called Customer Service again to let them know about the issue that we encountered, and we spoke with their traffic managers and the area manager. Overall a very bad and expensive experience. We will never rent Trucks from you guys again. The case was very poorly handled, and we ended spending a lot of extra money, because of your fault.Edin Z.

I was renting a van and the agent was very aggressive in his attempt to sell me $11 insurance despite my having informed him that I called my insurance company and that class of vehicle would be covered. I would be okay with that because he has to attempt to up-sell me as part of his job but the man was otherwise pleasant and helpful with parking. I always take a screenshot of the odometer before my trip. When I returned the vehicle, the agent prepared my invoice and told me it would be emailed to me. When I got home and opened the email, I noticed he had charged me for more than double the miles I had driven. I tried calling the store - no response, all emails to the store address on the receipt bounced back. It is upsetting to have to chase down Uhaul for a refund for their own mistake. Very poor customer service on the back end, dishonest billing, no follow-up of complaint a week later...that's what gets a poor review.Nigel D.
