I would recommend having the units full of gas at pickup like a rental car I had it exactly where it was when I picked it up and he wanted to charge me $40.00 for gas. I put three more gallon in it and he said that was good. Waste of timeWILLARD E.

Truck was full of crumbs and fast food wrappers, back had gravel and cardboard, gas tank was half empty (supposed to be full per contract). Kid at counter was too busy on his phone to do anything to help me. Reserved a dolly but they didn't have one for me and had no idea where I could get one (another location??). Terrible!!Lisa W.
Couldn't call location to see if there were any instructions for returning trailer or if there would be help for unhitching or if they were even open. When I called Uhaul lady was very unhelpful and had no answer other than just go (a 30 min drive with 2 toddlers) and hope for the best. Got there and they had no idea how to unhitch trailer and 2 of them had to help me lift to unhitch it was a joke.Tracey P.

This is a small run down gas station. Kid running the counter seemed clueless. Nothing was ready for me when I got there. Just made me sign paperwork and handed me the key. I had to clear out the vehicle myself and check everything over.Kathryn J.

The contract said I was to call their number upon arrival. It's an area with a bunch of crappy buildings and I could see where to park the trailer, but didn't know which crappy building ran the U-Haul. Like I said, the contract gave me a number to call. I called it about two dozen times. Finally your rep got off his ass and answered the phone. He asked if there were any issues with the trailer. I said no. That was it. No thank you. In a convenience store with multiple customer interruptions. Single employee. Multiple computer problems. Took over one hour to pick up reserved trailer. No one even came out of the store to check the equipment or if it was hooked up properly or even get the number off of it. I did all that myself. Then I was charged twice and I only had the equipment for 26 hours. I have rented the same equipment from multiple places before and only charged once for a longer period of time. WhyOwen B.
I had my order set at a location close to my apartment then got a call to change location. I was fine because I got a bigger truck at the same rate as a 10'. Then when I show up to the changed location the lady was no help to me! I get she was working at a gas station but when she told me she didn't have my equipment she told me there was nothing she could do! I had to call U-Haul and explain and go to a third location to get my equipment! Which was across town! Then when I got the equipment I had to return it to the same location which was out of my way. Then when I returned my U-Haul I got charged extra mileage! Like seriously?! How was I at fault when I was sent to three different locations over a tristate area?! Young lasy all by herself running a gas/convinience store. simply handed me the contract and told me the trailer number. No personal vehicle inspection, no help hooking up the trailor until i asked, no light inspection. I am a 63 year old main. i tried to lift the trailor by mysekf but no luck so had to go back in and ask for her help.Jaime N.

There was a cc on file but they needed my card since I was picking it up and everything had to be inputted again to system. Only one person working in the store so she had to keep stopping in helping other customers that came in. The process took half an hour and I told her I didn't want my card charged and she said no this is just to hold it but my car did get charged. Most importantly I did not ask me if I wanted insurance and it was just automatically put on without my knowledge. When asked about this they told me I only had 30 minutes to take that off after I left but I never asked for it. Very disappointed would not recommendheidi H.

Upon picking up my reservation one employee that helped me was pretty honest about the place. Upon returning my trailer the next day the employee had no clue on what to do she kept me there forever and was telling me I had a balance do and that I couldn't leave till I paid my balance. ?? Then someone else stepped up and said she had only done this once so she had no clue what to do. They don't give the best service and they give priority to gas, other buying item related customers. Uhaul customers have to wait till they have time for you. It takes a long time to get helped. Plus their computer is super slow. If they can't keep up with the service why have it.Maria S.

Nobody advised us prior to our pickup that we would be obligated to return to the same pickup location so we have been charged double the rate. Clearly communication between pick-up person and the employee in charge is lacking immensely.Scott H.

Arrived to drop off nobody could tell me where to drop trailer. I was told to drop it by other trailers, no other trailers there. Finally made second trip back inside to talk with personnel, she was surprised when she looked out and no trailers there. I had to park trailer and the attendant nearly pulled my wiring off trying to remove trailer. She was unable to remove trailer so I had to lift the trailer off myself with arm I had surgery on. Not a good impression. The female advised me that someone would come in later that night to check the trailer over. I told her that I could not wait the 3 to 4 hours to have the trailer checked. The lady finally looked into trailer and noted it was extremely clean and undamaged. Lady gave me my paperwork and final receipt showing no charge. I called you customer service and told them about this situation and was advised that the trailer had been checked in. (913)634-6208. Horrible experience.Billie T.
