We have rented from UHaul in Buffalo, MN many times over the years. We have always had a good experience with UHaul overall. We chose the Maple Lake CJ Deal Depot location for our UHaul this time to save mileage. We have already told several people to NEVER rent from or purchase anything from them. The person who checked us out to rent the truck was very personable, nice, friendly and polite. We asked the clerk what time we needed to return the truck by and he said that as long as we had it returned by noon there would be no problem. We returned the truck at 10:55 knowing we needed to do the inspection, return the truck and be 10 miles away to take our child to the hospital before noon. The person who checked the vehicle back in was rude, made us wait until after we were past the check in time. He threatened to call the police because we needed to have the check in taken care of in a timely manner so that we could take our child to the hospital. He refused to look at the paperwork receipt that my husband produced for him. He refused to speak to the clerk we had spoken to the day before. We returned the truck with more gas than how we received it and did not use the mileage we had expected. He tried to charge us an extra day because he couldn't do his job in a timely manner causing us to be over by 15 minutes. The clerk we had to deal with when we returned the truck will cost this business thousands of dollars. Word of mouth advertising is worth millions of any other advertising and we are making it widely known that this company does not treat their customers well. We will drive hours out of our way the next time we need a UHaul in order to not deal with CJ's Deal Depot in Maple Lake, MN;gary B.

They had already reserved my truck at the buffalo MN uhaul and changed it to the Maple Lake uhaul, that it wasn't available. I believe they should have been the ones to pick a truck up and made it available where it was promised.RUTH S.

It was very convenient to be able to rent a U-haul trailer at this location. Two negative comments: 1. The paperwork process was so slow. 2. I feel that I was overcharged - I did not need the Safe Tow Charge of $8.00 and and when I stopped back to question it, I was told that I had to call U-haul to have it taken off my credit card. I've tried calling but the wait time is so long that I finally gave up.lEANN F.

I set up a trailer with our local U-Haul dealer, then the regional office called and emailed wanting to have us pick up a trailer at a different site. I called with the intention of canceling the trailer because I didn't want to drive all over to simply pick up and return a trailer. Then they decided I could pick it up locally. This has happened before. The regional office needs to stay out of the rental.Mark R.
