1: Waited in line to try to get rental set up. Worker/Owner seemed extremely annoyed when I asked about the 24/7 app...He said there is nothing he can do to help. Customer has to do it all online alone, or call the 800# for assistance (which he said to be prepared to wait on hold for at least an hour or so). 2: I did use the 24/7 app, which was a very nice service, since the location closed at 4 on friday. It does take some time to get through all the steps, but at least offers an alternative. Two problems, both location issues...One...the padlock on the back door took forever to remove...I used WD-40 later, or I would not have been able to lock again. I would expect that to be done by whomever put the lock on in the first place. And 2, same issue, only with the combination to access the truck key...The dials hardly turn! 3: Luckily, I had a flashlight with me. Pretty dark lot for having to pickup and take all the pics, etc. Some lighting would be safer. 4: I rented the appliance dolly with the truck, and nothing else. When I opened the truck, there was a package of clothes and a regular dolly, attached to the truck with a plastic tie. These are right in the way near the rear door. The only way to move them is to break the ties, which means we get charged for them. If I wanted them, I would have rented them...By just having them there, it took valuable space away from our load, and was in a terrible spot.Joseph T.

The vehicle had a bad front end alignment and pulled to the left. My complaint would not be with the rental location, but with dealing with Uhaul in general. The mobile app did not work to do an after hours pick up. I ended up having to call Uhual (standing in the dark and rain) to get the code to unlock the key drop box. The website is poorly designed and difficult to find the billing area to pay for toll fees. On the whole I would consider my experience with Uhall overpriced and poor customer service.ANDREW C.

Have your employees show up on time and don't send me to a new store 30 miles away from the store I booked the night before. The mileage was typed in wrong or was not checked and when I got to my drop off location (60 miles away) it said I went 1,000 miles over the mileage given to me.Sarah M.

The uhaul app is very frustrating to use. It takes too long to upload pictures and when I went to return the vehicle and take pictures of the mileage and fuel gauge, the picture would not upload even after many tries.Alan D.

The location I ended up going to was great. However, I originally booked a 20 foot truck for 10am in Victor. When I got there at 10 am they said the truck is now 15 foot and in Irondequoit at 230pm. I was never notified and that is completely unacceptable. I took the day off and had to get a babysitter to move and I wasted 45 minutes trying to find a truck and then driving out to Webster. Having my reservation switched like that without telling me is not good at all.Kevin B.

My only issue with this location was that we (other customers) had to wait for someone, the door was locked with a note on the door. My main issue is with UHAUL not the location. This was the 2nd time my pick-up location was changed at the last minute, putting us a half hour in the opposite direction we were heading. We use this service frequently and have noticed this being a common issue during conversations with other customers.KARENM E.

Get rid of the mask mandate! You have plexiglas all around your employee, whats the need for masks also? The windshield wipers were spent. When I mentioned that to the man at the desk, he wouldn't even acknowledge that that was an issue (on a rainy day?).IAN P M.
The keys were not available as promised and we had to wait for the sales associate to show up to open the store 30 minutes past our pick up time and he was late even to open the store. He was definitely polite and apologetic however. The online check in process was more arduous than I was told. it would not except my drivers license scan and it was just like that I had my passport in my bag with me. Not the fault of this location but I made my reservation five weeks in advance and they did not honor the size or location of the truck. I will say that the bright side movers who came were 10 out of 10 fabulous!Kelly S.

The convenience and timeliness of everything was great. The only issue is that I was charged for an extra day when my contract clearly said to bring it back by 4 pm, which I did. I emailed about this issue to 799003_AFM@uhaul.com -- I would rate 5 stars if this issue is resolved with a refund or a credit for that extra charge.Christopher S.

Covid restriction ridiculous when ny is not a mask mandated state More people waiting close together in vestibule when actual space to stay separated is in waiting area. I rented a van on Aug 2nd, round trip through toll twice BUT UHAUL continues to access my credit card which they should not have kept on file and charge me continuously for tolls someone else continues to add up as they use the van I returned on the same day. Additionally they make it almost impossible to reach someone to correct the problem but referring the issue to a 800 instead of correcting via the location where the rental occurred. Absolutely would not recommend if in this age of technology if their system can't recognize a simple oversight as this.ðŸ™„JOHNA S.

Was anticipating a van, which I have rented from the Victor location before; which was very clean I felt comfortable driving, but was told it was not available once I arrived, after confirmation at this location and the truck was not clean, was a gas gusler and not what I had anticipated for a 7 hour drive.Lynda R.

Mask requirement not mentioned !! Went to location and sign stated mask required per law- complete lie. The online renting process was ridiculously slow. Having to call people I know at 8am is just ludicrous when you scanned my REAL ID, which is good enough for the Government and Airlines, but not to rent a Uhaul....you need to talk to someone I know??? I rented from Penske in Florida for one way to Ny 3x and each time I walked in and handed them my license and walked out 10 mins later. This took an hour....and then they may want to see your Passport and your Lease or Deed! Are you kidding me? After messing with the online system for 30 minutes we figured we would just deal with staff that was supposed to be there at 830...nope! We left at 845 and they were still not there! The truck and all was fine, and the system is actually great, but this other stuff is just CYA nonsense that inconveniences people. Also didn't like that, even though I didn't get my truck til almost an hour later, the return time was not adjusted.Nicole W.

I was booked a 1:30pm pick-up time online - the store was locked from 1pm - 2pm. I came back to return the truck at 4pm - the store was locked again so I went through remote check-out. There was miscommunication between online scheduling, the posted store hours and the actual store hours. Service was not friendly or apologetic about the wait time, instead said "You booked online for 1:30 but we go to lunch from 1 to 2." .... How am I supposed to know that if no one from the location called me?Kellyn W.

Employees were a bit rude when I was checking in. They tried to rent my uhaul when I was 10 mins late and had called them. Also, they all took lunch at the same time so I had to wait to return the truck because the office was locked midday which is not ideal on moving day with a lot to do. I could have used the drop box but after my initial interaction I didn't want to leave the truck out of my possession and run the risk of something happening to it or being charged for something. I don't expect impeccable customer service but the rudeness and lack of care of people's time is ridiculous.Christopher R.

Employee operating the store was covid paranoid, wearing a mask is enough, especially when I'm vaccinated, only allowing 1 customer in the store at a time is unnecessary, especially when the alternative is waiting in your car when someone else could essentially move ahead of you â€œin lineâ€ or wait in an unventilated entrance area that was 90 degrees. Upon returning there was a sign on the door that said the employee would be back in an hour. An hour! So had to return the truck through the online return which was time consuming and unexpected. Overall you made a stressful day even more so. Wouldn't recommend anyone to that location.Scott S.
This is the third time I rented a truck from this site in 13 months. Each time, there were no issues, thank you. This is the first time I reserved the truck on line. I had one bit of confusion when I returned the unit on Friday, via the text message link. I was not sure if I did it correctly. Thank you for a great, inexpensive experience. SteveSteve D.

The girls were nice at the counter. Perfectly accommodating and very pleasant. The van was another story. First of all the tank was not at 7/8 as advertised. It was closer to 3/4 but I didn't call and raise the issue. I did take a pic of the gauge about 8 mins after I left the location. Second issue. I get the van loaded at my home and when I go to turn left out of my neighborhood my wife says â€œthe turn signal and brake light don't workâ€. Great. No I'm a danger to myself and others on the road. But I've completely loaded the van, so it's old fashioned hand signals to turn left while driving. Super. Then on the way it rains. Good windshield wipers? That's right folks, no more bets, we have a winner! Crappy windshield wipers as well. Your front driver tire sounds so far out of balance I'm surprised it didn't come off the van. Next time I'll just hit Penske in Henrietta. In the end it would've been the same price for a one day rental and the equipment is maintained on a regular basis.Michael H.

the vehicle rented had seat covers that did not fit the seat and every time i got out it came off. my suggestion if the seat is that bad needing a cover then have it reupholstered so that it fits and stays on place. The attendant was very good and very polite.Edward P.

We have fleas all over our stuff!!! Uhaul was infested!! We didn't know until after we were bite all over all we noticed was how the uhaul smelled like cat and the customer service was terrible! Someone needs to return my call and solve this.THOMASPHILLIP B.
